Some Red State/Blue State Indicia

But I am not interested in a comparison. I'm interested - curious actually - why Baltimore is struggling so badly?
Cuz hospitals are so far apart!

Actually, governance in many blue cities and states can be improved. I've talked about nimbyism and permitting and the government-made housing crisis in California. I'm not really familiar with Baltimore but I don't get the impression it is a well-governed city.

But hey it is hard to get to those hospitals. They are so far away!!

What's interesting is even poorly governed blue states have outcomes that are so good compared to their counterparts. What gives? How come vast swaths of Kentucky and other red states look like Laos and Uganda when it comes to life expectancy. And how come over a quarter of the adults in many of those counties have not graduated from HS? Enquiring minds want to know. Maybe math is objectively harder in red cracker counties.

lol

Blue states are so fantastic yet can't keep their population.

It sounds like you're just trying to convince us of something that you don't 100% believe either.

I've tried to explain and share data showing a state like California in most years gains young well-educated people from other states while losing a larger number of older less well-educated people. But I guess it don't square with y'all's worldview. Just like Oklahoma having a higher homicide rate than NY City for many years can't possibly be true. And it can't possibly be true that the top four states in per capita GDP growth during the past decade are NY, Massachusetts, Washington and California.

I suppose it makes sense that people who have experience the decline of california are fleeing much faster than they can fill the bucket with naive idiots who cling to their worthless diploma

So much of your data is at times quite questionable that doesn't coincide with reality.

Those truck drivers or other skilled blue collar guys that are leaving Cal aren't as worthwhile as those guys sticking around with their degrees in lesbian dance theory, sturg.

It's important for this woman's family to understand that this was much more likely to have happened to her if she lived in Oklahoma

Without reading the link guess where this happened, city redacted

More charges could be on the way for a principal and teacher who were arrested after being accused of holding a house party at the principal’s xxxxxxx home on Jan. 19.

Police say more than 100 minors were drinking and intoxicated when they responded to the home.

Sounds fun. Did they push the kids on the train track after being drunk?

Interesting case that you referenced here - As a thought experiment what do you think is more concerning to the average citizen? Meaning, does the average citizen have more fear because one happened as a pure act of randomness or the other that had what appears to be a connection prior?

This one is a little dated but the grisly details are to die for.

The search for two missing Kansas women ended gruesomely April 14 in the Oklahoma Panhandle at the end of a two-day excavation of a possible burial site in a cow pasture.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation revealed in new court records that a chest freezer was found during the excavation and opened.

The OSBI also revealed in the new court records that "personal items" were located in the hole after the bodies were removed. "These items did not belong to Butler or Kelley," an OSBI agent wrote. "This information was not released to the public."

The investigation into the disappearances resulted in first-degree murder charges against a grandmother, Tifany Adams, and three others even before the bodies were found. A fifth person has since been charged.

All five murder defendants have been described in court affidavits as members of an antigovernment group called God's Misfits. Prosecutors allege they killed the two women because of a child custody dispute.

Butler, 27, had come from Kansas to pick up her two children from Adams, their paternal grandmother. Butler had planned to take them to a birthday party. Kelley, 39, a pastor's wife, was along to supervise her visit.

Adams and Butler were in a "problematic custody battle" over the children, the OSBI revealed earlier. The grandmother had been taking care of the children for months at her home in Keyes.

Adams after her arrest made statements to law enforcement indicating she was responsible for the deaths, the OSBI revealed in April. The bodies were found on property leased by her boyfriend, Tad Bert Cullum, to graze cattle.

I see we avoided this question...

My favorite thing to do is to trigger the academic into wasting time searching for random crimes committed in Oklahoma

He's not curious to understand what's happening in a blue state... only deflects
