I suppose stock options are distorting the performances we are seeing from Massachusetts, Connecticut, Oregon and Washington.

How about red states start producing some star companies that can boost their employees incomes through stock options.

Sometimes it gets a little tiring pulling that wagon with so much dead weight piled on it. Even us ballers have only so much to give.

with all that tax revenue, how is possible they have a budget shortfall, haven't built a mile of their train, haven't re-built a single home lost in the fires, haven't reduced their homelessness by a single person?

they are a victim of their own massive financial success. The insane amount of tax revenue their capitalist system created enabled the government to get bigger and bigger to slowly kill the state

And yet the divergence with the red states keeps growing. Along a broad array of metrics measuring health outcomes, educational attainment, economic outcomes. And its not just NY and California. Other blue states (most notably Massachusetts and Washington) are also pulling further ahead of the red states. Further and further ahead. I hope y'all don't give up. The race aint over.

there are advantages to not having sidewalks...the shit just gets absorbed back as fertilizer...my granola-eating friends approve!...they have a fancy name for it: biodynamic farming

I'm someone who has thrived in NY and am itching to get out.

Florida's explosion indicates lots more are doing the same.
