Sure is some tyranny in the N train in NY.

Lot of folks blaming the govt for the lawlessness they have allowed to continue.

Someone is going to need to explain to me how this letter isn’t a reasonable interpretation of the plain text wording of the bill in Florida.

Perhaps it is.

But why are leftists so ****ing upset that they can't talk to kindergartners about sex/sexual identity? Why is there so much pushback to this?

There is an issue that is being tiptoed around. Which is that kids with same sex parents face a bit of bullying in school. It is the sort of thing that school staff should feel empowered to deal with. It isn't "grooming" for a teacher with a kid in his or her class who is being bullied for this reason to discuss with the rest of the class how there can be loving families with two men or two women as the parents.

This is more in line with what I find to be the actual concern with the bill, and what many, many teachers are actually protesting. Most (damn near all) teachers don’t want to delve into the topic of sexual intercourse or their genitalia with young children. It’s the fact that the law can easily be construed in a way that makes any benign conversation about gay people or couples could be in violation of the law, even in the same context that teachers would discuss straight people or couples. If Florida simply passed a bill that banned discussion of sexual topics in these grades for any reason, you wouldn’t see the same backlash, even though it’d have the same “anti-grooming” intent that Republicans claim this bill has. That didn’t happen, though.
