Utah is not a shock. Very strong monoculture tied to religion. Basically anyone who doesn’t fit into that archetype is at risk of feeling isolated.

I grew up in Utah but have since lived in other states. It’s uniquely weird in that way (fwiw - I miss Utah a lot, but I’d rather not raise my kids in that environment),
