Why do people watch SOTU addresses? Do they just want to play drinking games?
I like to see which Republicans are doing their best to look smug on TV just to spite POTUS. And I also like to see which congressmen, Blue or Red, look like they're only getting up to clap because they don't wanna be that person sitting down when everyone else is standing.

I remember when SOTU had meat to it. Like that time Bush 43 told us we,were about to be nuked by Iraq. None of this rah-rah stuff of how well our country is running and how 200+ nations looked to us to lead a war. Against Climate Change !! What kind of war is that. Not going to carpet bomb unarmed citizens ? What a loser

Yeah, I use to do that when the shoe was on the other foot. It gets old though. The speeches are all so predictable and the political pot shots and preening and special guests, yada yada, are just dumb.
