SOTU?

Did I misspell it (Jindal)? If only he'd work on his you're/your, their/there/they're and possibly his to/too, two stuff a bit more it would help.

Oh, I didn't even pay attention to your spelling. I was just making a joke about his mistake.

In all respects but for now we can just stick with the community college thing or the economy thing or whatever direction you want to go in. My response was to thethe's "defense" of Jindal's tweet but my utter loathing of the Republican party does show, I realize that and while I really don't disagree with them on nearly as much as you might think, I do utterly disagree with them on their "plan" to deal with those things on which we actually do, at least somewhat, agree.

Conservative and Republican are not necessarily synonymous.

I completely ignored the posts with 'Jindal' in them because he's a dunce, as are a majority of supposed Republicans currently in the limelight.

The 'plan' right now for the Rhinos is to combat Obama's exceedingly lame duck policies. They'll figure the rest by 2016. Hopefully -- there's a lot of work to be done.

Let's shift back to the economy, though, which I'm bearish on (coming from the precise subset of the fiscal spectrum that the Obama administration has repeatedly ****ed up the ass).

Two things that I think should be universally free to all citizens of an organized, tax-paying populace: Health Care and Education (pre, primary, post-primary, secondary, etc.)

Free health care. Free education. How are the people administering it going to get paid for demanding professions?

Ask the Germans. They do it - and have better health care, education, less unemployment, and more money than we do.

The notion that being a Dr. is 'demanding' is fairly mythical, anyways. It's an acquired skill, just like most all occupations. What sets it apart is its necessity, which has been nauseatingly leveraged under the capitalist system.

K. Well get used to numb nuts doing your heart surgery.

Why's that?

Free health care. Free education. How are the people administering it going to get paid for demanding professions?

It shouldn't be hard to keep paying professors ****, and the requirements to be a professor or doctor won't change. The only thing that will change is that some of the worthless ****s who are only in it for the money won't stick around (if it DOES drop pay).

But sure. If someone offers up the opportunity for me to not have to pay $270 in health premiums every two weeks and wants to pay down my wife's student loans, you got my vote.

As a journalist, the joke is we're all about some free food.

Hey don't get greedy now :)

What kind of journalist are you?

A liberal media one that hates Christians and Texas.

No, I'm mostly local government currently. Had been doing sports previously. I guess my dream one day is to be a skinny Mark Bowman who has a reason to believe.
