“There’s nothing to recuse himself [over], he was 100 percent straight with the committee, and I think people who are choosing to play partisan politics with this should be ashamed of themselves,” Spicer told Fox News Channel’s Abby Huntsman, in an interview scheduled to air Friday morning.

No press appearances today by Pres Trump - or press sighting of any kind -- for the first time since he took office.

So what are we to believe?

A) This is part of a continued press blackout.
B) The administration wants to let the Obama accusation percolate/saturate.
C) They are scared ****less and don't know what to say.

I don't know, but I assume it's as simple as the WH wanting to win more news cycles, and making news by publicly answering (or ignoring) questions about Russia or Trump's wiretapping accusations don't advance those interests. I don't think it's fear, just a basic cost/benefit equation.

That was a hell of an answer. Clearly when he tweeted [inaccurate information], he meant [accurate information]. But he won't correct it.

Spicer trying to say Trump didn't mean Obama was wiretapping when he tweeted and accused Obama of wiretapping.
