It's OVER 5,000!
I actually enjoy some of the sarcasm such as that posted by bravesnumberone above in this thread. It's funny IMO and plus it set up my "Bon Appétit" joke nicely.

In my humble opinion, the comments complaining about the terrible offense comments are infinitely more annoying. At least talking **** about the Braves **** offense isn't just whining.
Joking on how bad of a situation is much better than drowning in our sorrows.
Or trying to pump up a crappy situation.
what's annoying is you can't even talk about the game, every other comment is a snarky shot that's been repeated 1000x by each poster making them. i just don't understand how repeating the same joke over and over in a slightly different way is funny.
It's two games into spring. Lighten up, people. Be glad baseball is back.
I think its still funny but at the same time excessive. I do worry that every gamethread this season is going to include basically everything bu discussion of the actual game. It should be something that is discussed and monitored moving forward as to not discourage those that want to talk about the current team.

Can you not? I think the majority of posters would appreciate it if you were making constructive comments about the game, during the game. I just want to respectfully point out that no one is stopping you from doing it, regardless of what anyone else does.
Stuff gets beaten into the ground here. It's kind of the way of things. Maybe it gets tiresome, but at least it provides some continuity and context for people who are new to the board. Maybe some people take it to the extent of trolling, but IMO it's fairly benign. Also IMO, you—all of us—have more of an opportunity to effect positive change by just posting like the board was everything we wanted it to be.
Nothing's going to change much until we get some games in and the roster starts to shake out. Big picture, nothing's going to change much until we get an idea of how the teardown/rebuild is progressing. That's just where the team is, and the board reflects it. It's not going to be all sweetness, light, and optimism in the meantime.
I'm glad to have baseball again. I've been glued to gameday and the radio for two afternoons running. I've been excited to see guys like Cedric Hunter, Mallex Smith, Jace, Cunningham, and Joe T getting a chance to play. Our lineup might massively exceed expectations this year. It also might be historically bad. We don't know right now. Until we know enough that someone has to eat that plate of crow, I doubt that people will stop opining about it.
So many posts are the exact same in complaining or criticizing the team. And we're mostly talking about game threads just saying annoying repetitive things like "AT LEAST THE TEAM GRITTED OUT THIS LOSS LOLOLOL AMIRITE." There are way worse positions to be in, let's just see what happens instead of repeating the same tired BS.
That's not the point. Every positive post gets answered by the same tired bull****.
Like the complaining about the complaining? Or how about like #desperate? You guys are fine doing it when it's something you agree with.
Like you tried to do in the Peter Moylan thread?
clearly it happens both ways, but those posts aren't made with the same repeated bull**** from the likes of you and others. "lolol we gritted out that loss huh!! give me thanks plz" is just lame, but carry on, bro.
The "complaining about complaining" is being talked about right now, so I have no problem responding to people. Complaining about snarky, unoriginal, stupid comments can only happen if the comments keep being made, which they are, constantly, in every single thread regardless of topic. I understand you're part of the un-originality crew so this hits home.
