Asking if we will have a 20 HR hitter this year is a legit question. Will we? I hadn't realized we have unloaded almost ALL of our power
Asking how we plan to replace Heyward/Upton if we're unwilling/unable to spend money is a legit question. When I originally askewd that question, I was told the Cuba market is our best bet. I'm still waiting on that to play out.
Complaining about people rah-rah-ing over a sac fly... well, that's gonna get pretty old because sac flies don't amount to many runs over a long season.
What am I excited about?
- The pitching staff
- Freeman walking 100 times this year
- Watching Simmons play defense
- Maybe getting to see some of the young guys try to play - although I contend we don't have a single impact positional prospect in the whole system
- Fredi eventually getting fired

Whether or not you think his posts have thought behind them has no bearing on the fact that they are all about the Braves. You know what that does? Encourages responses ABOUT THE BRAVES, which encourages more responses ABOUT THE BRAVES. Look what your attack encourages. Pages and pages about your attack. It makes YOU the focus instead of the Braves, a desire for which is probably the driving force behind your attacks.

People have already talked about this. Yes, most had hoped the plan was to sign some Cuban bats to replace Heyward and Upton. People constantly harped on that, as if the FO promised it by simply doing their due-diligence and scouting them.
I agree replacing Heyward and Upton with seemingly no money is a huge concern.
Alright, I'm not going through every argument presented. I think most people get all of that stuff just fine. But to say there aren't posters responding with negativity to some positive things being talked about/posted is a joke. It is constant.

Don't need homers as long as hits come at right time. Most important stats in baseball...ARISP and RBI. In other words, what are the results when a guy has a chance to drive in a run. Lord knows how many more games we win last year with just singles at the right time

I hope you're right. But you're gonna need a heckuva lot more singles to make up for the lack of homers. We might not hit 100 homers this year.

More innings like that late one last night will be fun to watch, though. The game seems to really slow down when it's just a repetitive series of hoping someone gets hit by a pitch followed by a HR to get two runs on the board. Or passing out in the seventh because you downed a shot each time Heyward grounded out to second.

We hit .236/.325/.355 with runners in scoring position and .241/.305/.360 overall. We actually hit better than expected with RISP.

I'm not missing my own point, which was positives things being talked about were responded to with negativity, basically telling people their positivity was stupid and a waste.
(I called one person a dick. One). You've blown this up far more than me, so congrats on doing that thing you accused me of.

That's still pretty terrible, though, and JUp, who was in the 4-hole, was pretty bad. Tons of Ks. That will really limit an offense's effectiveness.

I called you out on it because it is getting to the point where it's a problem. It's the ONE THING that derails a thread every time and never encourages talk about the Braves. Negative posts can derail a thread. Positive ones about the wrong thing can also derail a thread. But nothing outside of stooping to the level of calling someone names derails a thread 100% of the time. That's why I finally confronted you about it. Notice how I still never called you a name? Yeah. That's called a discussion.
