Spring Training Gamethread/Discussion

Uggs earning his spot, but I did find it interesting that JS commented the Braves would like to be and likely would be back at budget level during the year, but with Uggs producing like he is the Braves can't deal him IMO.

No one will trade for Uggla.
If he's actually hitting decently during the season, we will just keep him. If he's not, he's a 13 mil black hole.
He isn't getting traded.
 
Gearrin's ERA is through the roof but he's looked great the two times I saw him pitch. Today and Thursday against the Mets.

Yeah that comment caught me off guard. How in the world will the Braves get back to within budget by the end of the season? The only way I see that happening is if the season goes down the drain and they dump Santana at the trading deadline or something along those lines.

When he said "by end of season" was it clear he meant before the season ended or at the end of the season. It seems to me the two things mean quite different things.

He mean't ownership just found out about the Santana contract and isn't going to allow this to happen again.
 
If Uggla can channel his days from the Marlins this offense will be incredible. One can hope he and BJ are non black holes anyways.

I'm a little concerned about the lack of power from a few players but I think that will be fine over the course of the season. Besides that really only J Upton and Gattis are struggling. Everyone else is at least is getting some hits.

It would be nice if Fredi would put the entire lineup on the field so we can see where the offense is. Every game I've seen has been starting outfield or infield. I've yet to see the entire lineup and most teams are using their starting lineups right now.
