Ervin Santana done after 3 IP. He allows 2 runs on 4 hits with no walks and 1 strikeout. Threw 44 pitches/29 strikes. #Braves

Was hitting 93 and keeping the ball down. Pretty good lineup he went against, but nothing overwhelming.

I'd probably rather hit Simmons cleanup than BJ second.

I agree, we should use Heyward/JUpton/Freeman as the first three. That was lethal last year when the three were healthy. If he produces again, I'm cool with CJ fourth. Ideally, I'd like to see a for real resurgence from Uggla and have him fourth or fifth. If Gattis doesn't learn some discipline, I'd drop him to sixth or lower.

Radio now saying Santana is being looked at by team doctors, felt some discomfort in arm around the 2nd inning.

WTFWTFWTFWTFWTFWTF

Pitchers break. The thing is of all baseball teams the Braves are probably the best at generating a steady stream of pitchers through the minor league system. So we have less need than any other team to take risks of any kind with pitching contracts.
