Sunday braves at phillies

They gave Sniker a one year deal right? They knew he was a place holder and I think it was a "thank you for all the years of service" type hire. If they play like they probably will...his contract won't be renewed and he'll take a position in the orginazation.

Most likely there was no one that they interviewed that hit a home run. Sniker is a place holder...just like half of the other players.

Scary thing is they interviewed TP, Eddie, and Wash and they still brought back Snit. And one of those three is likely in line to replace Snit whether he gets canned or not renewed.

I would love to find out what a mlb manager interview is actually like. This is how I imagine it goes...

Braves - "who should hit leadoff?"

Manager "The fastest player"

Braves - "but what if he has a ****ty obp"

Manager "obp? What's that?"

Braves -"your hired"

Snit - "The shortstop if he's not leading off".

Braves - "We're done here"

6-12 record losing 6 straight....and 7 of the next 10 games are against the Mets and their great pitching.

In the next 10 games, Atlanta will see the following pitchers:
Syndergaard twice
Harvey twice
deGrom
Wheeler
Jimmy Nelson

You can then extend the schedule to 3 games at home against the Cardinals where they will face:
Wacha
Martinez
Wainwright

It's a distinct possibility that this team could be 8-23 or so after these next 13 games.

@jaysonst

The Braves were one game out of first Monday. Then 2 Tuesday, 3 Wednesday, 4 Thursday, 5 Friday, 6 Saturday. Could be 7 tonight if Nats win!

Whoa we're going back to citifield again already? Twice in a month?

What's sad is there 2 positional players (Albies, demeritte) in our upper farm system to be excited about and both play 2b.

The way things are looking I'm cool with Albies playing short and Dem playing 2B.

Dansby can have time to write another letter to Braves fans in the players tribune. This time apologizing for sucking.

As long as the John's and Bobby are around...you are sadly correct.

Funny fact, if this was a normal veteran team...pitchforks would be out and everyone would be chanting "Rebuild!!!!!". For some reason, that isn't the case with this team. I.Dont't.Understand. It doesn't matter how much talent you have in the lower levels. You blow up a bad team and get what you can as you keep the building blocks. Why? Because a loosing team has no value. That way you have even MORE talent for the future.
