It was another one of those Marcus Stroman like deals. They were absolutely DEMANDING more from the Braves and a couple other teams, then simply traded him low for parts.

Bad business, but teams do that.

Flowers is still an elite pitch framer and worth 1.5 fWAR this year.

Is that worth 6 million playing less than half the time?

Especially with his visual issues coming back like it did a few years ago?

Yeah, I can't fault him for those borderline calls since it's a meh ump behind hte plate.

But those swing and misses on pitches at his eye level are just bad.
