Sunday vs reds...Going for series win (no FF)

People blame Duvall, people blame Snits, people blame Greene but to me the obvious blame belongs on the offense.

Today's lose the Braves were 0-11 w/RISP, 11 LOB
In Sat's x-inning affair they were 4-15 with 12 LOB.
In the loss Fri night, they were 0-0 w/RISP. 2 LOB
Game 1, the rain shortened affair, they were 2-4, 6 LOB.

Going to Brewersville, we will lose all 3 unless things greatly improve w/RISP. It appears the Braves have gone HR happy lately.

They wanted Ruiz and May for Vazquez from LA.

That's the price of Waters/Anderson from Atlanta.

That doesn't mean they would've wanted Anderson and Waters. That could've been Waters and Wright/Wilson we don't know all I know is that should've been the target or Kirby Yates.

You're kidding yourself... Vazquez wasn't really available. They were just shopping to try to get a stupid offer from him, not something like just Wright/Wilson.

There's rumors that they were scouting our farm to try to get Pache AANNDD Waters for Vazquez.

So yes, Vazquez wasn't available and guys like Dyson (although not in the biggest sample) and Greene were the best available Proven Closers on the market.

Can everyone get off the ledge and relax??? Nats are now heading to SF who are battling for the wild card also. Then they had home to face the red hot Mets and will likely face Stroman, Syndegaard and DeGrom.

Meanwhile were going through a very rough stretch offensively yet still winning games. We are going to be fine!

unlucky or not, Greene would have two losses already if Duvall didn't nail that runner at home last night. Not the way you want to start with your new team.

He really is off to a bad start. Hopefully this is just his inevitable correction. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if he winds up being the 3rd best reliever we traded for. Melancon seems to have really found his command and Martin is a strike throwing machine.

I rated Martin as the best even before this result so far, I like how Martin is so consistent with throwing strikes and from what I have seen of his splitter I am impressed. It is a really good swing and miss pitch.

Obviously hindsights 20-20, but would have gone Martin in the 10th. Greene came off a long inning Saturday and Martin didnt throw on Saturday.

snit's lineup today was bad too. But had it been good we are maybe up a few runs and still see Greene lose it in the 9th.

Only difference was no Freeman but Culberson should have started and he may have drove that run in earlier in the game. But we also got lucky last night to win so evens out but still frustrating to lose like that when you had the game in the bag.

agreed but if Greene gives up a three run shot an inning earlier trying to save it we still end up losing.
