Other than the gate -

I’d pay to go watch Sale and Strider pitch- probably not to watch Eddie Harris…
But in the overall scheme- no, there is no value in it….other than the integrity of the game itself.
 
After the Athletics and Marlins win, Fried was incredible and beat the Orioles. Still a really good day.

This weekend's series: Braves @ Detroit, Athletics @ Pittsburgh, Marlins @ Texas, Orioles v Yankees.

Updated standings:

2. Pirates
3. Twins 1.5 GB
4. Braves 5 GB
5. Athletics 7 GB
6. Orioles 7 GB
7. Marlins 8 GB
 
Athletics will likely sweep the Pirates. And that's ok because we realistically can't catch the Pirates anyways. Just need the Orioles to pull at least 1 game from the Skankees and the Marlins take 1 from TX,
 
This winning streak has officially ruined any shot at top-3 odds. It's now a race for 4th best, and we're trying really hard to screw that up. Here's where we are today, with a three-way tie at the top:

I tend to agree. If it was entirely based on where you finished like it used to be then that would be another thing.

Nats got the #1 pick this year with a 10% chance.

Guardians got it the year before with a 2% chance.

Better odds are always better but the extra pick is a bigger deal. Hoping for a strong week from Drake.
 
things I want to see happen the rest of the way... no particular order except for #1..

1. Twit retire or fired or moved into new roll
2. Drake go ape shit crazy on their asses
3. Mets mets
4. Harris finish strong
5. Lara pitch
6. stay in the top 6 of the tankathon. (there are 3 teams that are 3 games behind the Braves that could knock them to 9th best odds)
 
It is funny that the Braves are doing this insanely hot finish to a tank season again.

Exactly.

Losing means players playing poorly. I’d rather cheer on Drake, Ozzie, healthy Acuna, Strider building confidence, Waldrep establishing himself, etc. even if that means we win a few extra games.
