Yep. You would think that the Russian Collusion case would have shown people what the FBI and the media are about. Instead of developing a healthy skepticism of them they just double down. It's pretty damn amazing when you think about it.
 
Yeah it's a shame the FBI charged Trump with all those false charges...... this hissy fit you people throw because Trump was investigated is ridiculous. The investigation was run by lifelong Republicans and overseen by Trumps personal defense attorney and you cry like it was unfair to Trump. Good lord. Get a grip people.
 
The DoJ seems to be looking for way to let him off easy. They just want those documents returned. But very poorly chosen one is not interested in the off ramps. No cure for stupidity.
 
Exactly, he is given such preferential treatment and turn around and act like they were being persecuted. Trumps first big name lawyer told him to fully cooperate and turn in whatever he had. So Trump does what he always does and hires different lawyers who tell him what he wants to hear. I also think the DoJ just wanted to get these documents back and this would all have blown over if he just complied with the subpoena. Watching Republicans try and e excuse this is sad and as some of us speculated there might be more he has stashed away at other places. How they would defend that is just mind boggling but we know there is no limit to the sycophancy because "the other side does it too" no matter how much they have to twist reality to get there.

Record inflation? DOCUMENTS!

Illegal immigration crisis? DOCUMENTS!!

Recession? DOCUMENTS!!!

Escalation to nuclear war? DOCUMENTS!!!!

Child mutilation? DOCUMENTS!!!!!

Full weaponizing the DOJ? DOCUMENTS!!!!!!!

Nothing can require the attention of the seals more than the DOCUMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
If I took my neighbor's property and proposed a deal under which I would return it in exchange for something else that belonged to him, his reaction would be much less charitable than the DoJ's has been so far.

I know I've said this a zillion times but we already have legal precedent that says it is Trump's property. The fact that you guys come on here and act as if you're stating absolute fact is nonsense.

If this was a democrat prez being harassed your media would be telling you that fact and you would accept it.

Riiiiight. Thats why when subpoena'd for the documents he said "no, I have them but they are mine" instead of "I dont have them". There is a zero percent chance Trump would or could be charged with a crime for violating the Presidential Records Act. He can only be sued for that for which I guess he could be held in contempt if he doesnt comply with a Judge's order. So any precedent you want to refer to regarding the National Archives is pointless.

Trump's lawyers have put in writing the Judicial Watch vs NARA case and gave it to the courts. It's the elephant in the room that everyone's ignoring. Whether you like it or not Trump followed legal precedent. Perhaps you should read it.
