It's an imperfect way of addressing the ridiculous amount of time it takes to go from charge to trial. I would like some type of reform where bail isn't required for almost any non-violent offenders, and isn't allowed for the rest. There would need to be something like a maximum of one month from charge to trial for that to make sense.

The flash mob robberies are a result of the looting during riots last Summer. Organized crime took note of the inability or unwillingness to stop those mobs and are now taking advantage of it. I don't think the refusal to prosecute misdemeanors is related because what these flash mobs are doing consists of multiple criminal charges.

Wow all that for 3 million. Say what you will but the man is efficient. Your side is welcome to change the system that allows people like Soros to buy these elections. I think theres plenty of Democrats who would go along with that. Interesting that you want to imprison a Jewish WW2 survivor on trumped up political charges for the crime of making perfectly legal donations. Beyond that its the Republicans who defend allowing all this money in politics.

The Biden administration is asking the Supreme Court to turn away a legal battle brought by a group of Asian American students who argue Harvard College's admissions process violates federal civil rights law and discriminates against Asian American applicants.
The high court asked the Justice Department in June to weigh in on the request by the students, members of the organization Students for Fair Admissions, to hear their appeal of a lower court decision upholding Harvard's race-conscious admission policies.
In its brief filed with the Supreme Court on Wednesday, the Biden administration urged it to deny the petition, arguing it identified "no sound reason" to take up the case. While the Trump administration supported Students for Fair Admissions in lower court proceedings, the Biden administration has reversed the government's position and is backing Harvard.
