Imagine if we took climate change more serious years ago, and we pushed for more electric vehicles via stimulus or incentives.
thethe and sturg always talk about the elites, but for some reason, oil elites always seem to be ignored in their gospels.
The best stuff I always read from right wingers about them being anti-electric vehicles is because "it will overwhelm the grid".
Zero evidence to suggest people charging their EV's for an hour is going to overwhelm the grid. And if oil companies hadn't produced such scare and hype after Fukushima, we would be building more nuclear plants, since they are the most efficient and cleanest form of energy we have right now.
Sure what Pete said is out of touch, but if our country had not kept kicking the can down the road on EV's years ago, we probably wouldn't be stressing about $4 a gallon of gas at the pump. Instead, we're singlehandedly relying on Elon to push EV's. It should have been a government initiative years ago. Nobody else talks about how oil and car companies bought up land in LA that was gonna be used to build public transit rail.
Oil companies and car companies didn't get the jump on EV's like Tesla did. And now they're playing catchup. Saudis already started investing in electric because when EV's become the dominant force, their game will be useless.
