The Biden Presidency

Do EVs even reduce carbon emissions? The battery production and charging energy is all fossil fuel based. You're just moving it around

Meanwhile, it would be a lot easier to take climate alarmists more seriously if they included nuclear and nat gas in their solutions... But those don't offer massive payouts and government control so they ain't interested

EV is much better for the environment long term than continuously putting more and more ICE cars on the road and people complaining about gas prices.

Less maintenance for EV vehicles. No oil changes. No having to swap out batteries once every year. No having to buy motor oil.

I have a feeling even when EV vehicles start taking over a bigger part of the market, demand will go lower, and oil companies will just adjust the production to maintain a $3-$3.50 average at the pump.

They're not going to diminish their profit margins just because people move to EV.

It costs less than $20 to fully charge a Tesla. And that charge will last two weeks minimum for regular commutes. Teslas aren't exerting fumes while idling at a red light.

We have shipping companies right now using the "supply chain" and "inflation" excuse, and racking up record profits than pre-pandemic.

You change your car battery every year?

I've read similar to what sturg said about EVs (and windmills, and solar) being a net negative for the environment. I think atmospheric CO2 is a bigger issue than the environment as a whole right now, so electric seems like a win.

Higher gas prices still represent an inflationary cost that primarily impacts lower income earners who are more likely to own ICE cars, more likely to commute, and more likely to have older and therefore less fuel efficient cars. The administration is choosing to impose that cost on that group for the applause of the green crowd who happen to be far less impacted by the higher gas costs and are far more able to afford it.

my battery has died out on me once a year a few times in the last decade. Thankfully it still fell into the autozone warranty so they just switched it out.

Whether I approve the process or not it has gotten us from the 1790s to now.

What is the bill?
How long has it been in committee?
Who are the sponsors?

Are you in Hagerstown ?

Learn the difference between the legislative process and democracy.
That should keep you busy for a few minutes.

Did it ever stop raining ?

The legislative process is that the party leadership wrote a bill and it will be voted on without reading it and there will be no debate allowed and no amendments allowed

You being ignorant of this or supportive of it is certainly not surprising as the regime needs people like you. They couldn't design a better voter in a lab

Man, you should see some interviews of trump/maga voters at the cult rallies they have if you believe this

They put the people you hate to shame for not questioning authority and just falling in line

But I guess they share your weird obsession about trans people, so, you might just ignore them

Once those idiots start negatively impacting policy I'll get concerned. Right now they can be if ored or laughed at
