It’s a shame he didn’t pick a better VP who would be a clear heir apparent. I’m not sure the country is too enthusiastic about a potential Harris administration.

I wouldn’t mind seeing a DeSantis vs Newsom matchup in 2024. If (L) nominates Amash, they’d still get my vote, but if an unserious person wins their nomination, I’m very open to voting for DeSantis. If that election is a proxy for whether you’d rather see the country governed in the image of California or Florida, I know what side I’m on…

My rooting interest is for a Scott (SC version) vs Klobuchar race in 2024.
I’ve never understood third party voting on the presidential ticket. You know, the person isn’t going to win. Why not just vote for the side you agree with most often? This is the real world. Wasting votes in the presidential election does have consequences. Yes, you can put your head on your pillow and tell yourself that you didn’t vote for either of these guys, but eventually whomever wins will try to enact their policies.
