The Biden Presidency

I won't lay claim to any special prescience on inflation. Credit here belongs to Summers. I think this paragraph from his op-ed piece is one of the most prescient things written in recent years:

First, while there are enormous uncertainties, there is a chance that macroeconomic stimulus on a scale closer to World War II levels than normal recession levels will set off inflationary pressures of a kind we have not seen in a generation, with consequences for the value of the dollar and financial stability. This will be manageable if monetary and fiscal policy can be rapidly adjusted to address the problem. But given the commitments the Fed has made, administration officials’ dismissal of even the possibility of inflation, and the difficulties in mobilizing congressional support for tax increases or spending cuts, there is the risk of inflation expectations rising sharply. Stimulus measures of the magnitude contemplated are steps into the unknown. For credibility, they need to be accompanied by clear statements that the consequences will be monitored closely and, if necessary, there will be the capacity and will to adjust policy quickly.

So well before inflation was rising Summers was warning about it. I do feel a small amount of satisfaction in linking Summers' piece in the economics thread. It's nice to share such insightful commentary with others. And I thank all those around here who make a similar effort.

Only the academic morons and media didn't see inflating n coming.

You were of course one of those... But you still advocate for more printing. Imagine having such a useless vaccine that you have to literally print trillions in bribes to get people to take it

I don't even know what this means. But I'm sure I did no such thing. Anyhow it is one of the more enjoyable things about these boards to read unfounded claims of this sort. Occasionally they annoy me. But much more often I find them to be a source of amusement.

We know you aren't to be trusted since the "Germans are coming" posts somehow disappeared from existence despite everyone on this forum knowing that they existed.

And there was no link between obesity and covid hospitalization.

Hmmm. I believe I linked a study on this showing that obesity is the biggest risk factor out there for hospitalization. I won't bother looking for it because unlike the Summers op-ed I don't have an idea of what the date was.

I don't know what thread they were made but if I did I would be happy to point you in their direction. My posts concerned a well-connected friend in Germany saying that there was likely very derogatory information in the records of Deutsche Bank but that it would require a careful examination by a team of forensic accountants. Of course very poorly chosen famously declared that it would be "crossing a red line" for Mueller to do such an examination of his business records at Deutsche and Mueller decided not to do so.

I'd go ahead and disregard whatever this 'friend' tells you again.

How does it feel to push a conspiracy that ends up being the DNC/HRC/Obama/FBI/CIA colluding to remove a duly elected president? Must suck...

With respect to collusion:

1) Trump Tower meeting showed eagerness on the part of the Trump campaign to work with Russian to find and disseminate derogatory info about Hilary.

2) Campaign manager Manafartov (and others) had all sorts of links to oligarchs and others close to Vlad the Bad. He passed on internal polling info to some of those people.

3) There was outreach to WikiLeaks to try to coordinate dissemination of hacked information.

4) Negotiations on lucrative real estate deal in Moscow continued well into the summer of 2016.

Other than that (and various efforts to impede Mueller probe include unwillingness to sit for an interview) your boy was clean as a whistle.

When isn't obesity a huge risk factor?
I always thought that an odd argument

(1) THe meeting setup by Fusion GPS whereby they met the lawyer before and after? Taking a meeting to see what dirt exists that could damage the country if HRC is elected is not collusion at all and its amusing when you portray it as such.

(2) You don't seem to care that Zuckerberg had access to real-time voter data but sure give me some fake outrage over stale "POLLING INFO" that was given to some Russian by a scumbag who was subsequently fired from the campaign

(3) There was no such outreach and htis claim goes to the ranks of 'Deza' which is what I'd expect for you

(4) Oh boy - A businessman with properties in major cities around the world was working on a deal. GROUNDBREAKING

Should we talk about what Durham has found and compare it to this nonsense? You don't actually want to do that do you?

If you're concerned about the Trump Tower project in Moscow why haven't we heard a peep from you on Biden regarding his degenerate sons laptop which had actual proof of corruption?

I do wonder what has happened to this laptop. Does the FBI have it. Is it true Rudy had a copy of the contents on the drive. My hope is whoever has it turns it over to some reputable organization(s). And no the NY Post does not count as a reputable organization. Though from time to time I find it an enjoyable and entertaining read, for similar reasons that make your posts and those of some others around here enjoyable and entertaining.
