Nsacpi, as someone who has been traditionally conservative, why in the world do you still support Biden?
I get not wanting Trump. He isn't my choice either. But you simply can't deny how poorly the country this country is being run currently.

Remember when Hunter was added to the Burisma board on May 12, 2014?

Things I like about credibly accused creepy joe: Ukraine policy, policy of accountability re very poorly chosen one and his accomplices, incentives for switching to renewable energy (not the most elegant solution but the real world required a workaround that would get Manchin's vote), efforts to combat deza about vaccines and covid generally
Thinks I don't like so much: irresponsible fiscal policy (we should be bringing down the deficit), Afghanistan withdrawal, support for using race as a proxy for being disadvantaged
How in the world can you be a fan of his Ukraine policy? It's literally one of the worst criticisms on his presidency.
Where is the accountability on the Democrat front? Look I think vax and COVID deniers are silly too, but are you seriously applauding Dems using the govt to censor social social media?
We have towering interests in the stability of Europe. Allowing Putin to succeed would be an enormously destabilizing thing. It would have repercussions that would very much be against our national interest. So I think we should be providing Ukraine with much more military assistance in terms of quantity and lethality.
With respect to social media censorship, I think if a company has a policy that allows external input into its moderating decisions there is a role for government. The company should be able to say no thank you without being threatened or sanctioned. But if it is their policy to seek out and welcome external input then yes I would want my elected representatives to make that contribution, even recognizing that in some cases I might not agree with it.

Does it bother you at all that many of the things they tried to censor turned out to be true?
if you had an example or two i'd be happy to offer my opinion
Sure when the fbi pressured Facebook to remove posts about the lab leak theory.
this is behind a paywall of another trash org I won't offer my dollars to... but im sure there's some nuggets in there that you can spin away

Eh. I read that article a while back. FB has to make these calls on a continual basis. There will be some we all take exception to and some they themselves will second guess themselves on. I'm ok with the president making the observation that some of the content posted there has contributed to people dying. Happens to be true. I'm sorry if that makes Nick Clegg and other FB executives feel "pressure." It must be an awful feeling.
