The Coronavirus, not the beer

I meant the society you fight for is stupid as ****

It’s why your ideas aren’t popular and why you had to sell out your “beliefs” to possibly win

That you read a story about burnt out doctors tired of dealing with people that take no advice they give and then overwhelm them when getting sick and your point is to hate the doctors lol

Hell, I’d think you’d argue that they should have the freedom to not treat them but I guess that’s just another oddly inconsistent thing for ya lol

Mind sharing those because I've read the opposite in that its almost a complete shield if you've had natural immunity?

"All those who think you have natural immunity, you don't," Stack said. "If you got infected and it was six months ago and you think you're bulletproof, you're not. This virus is reinfecting people at a much higher rate than the previous versions. Even if you've had COVID, you should get vaccinated."

Thank you for sharing. In the first study it discusses what they were looking at:

this report details the findings of a case-control evaluation of the association between vaccination and SARS-CoV-2 reinfection in Kentucky during May–June 2021 among persons previously infected with SARS-CoV-2 in 2020.Kentucky residents who were not vaccinated had 2.34 times the odds of reinfection compared with those who were fully vaccinated (odds ratio [OR] = 2.34; 95% confidence interval [CI] = 1.58–3.47). These findings suggest that among persons with previous SARS-CoV-2 infection, full vaccination provides additional protection against reinfection. To reduce their risk of infection, all eligible persons should be offered vaccination, even if they have been previously infected with SARS-CoV-2.*

Based on what we know and what has been acknowledged by the CDC the vaccines wane in effectiveness in the 2-4 month period and after 4 months the protection is significantly impaired. Therefore, this study is then only capturing vaccinated individuals early in their cycle while the non-vaccinated could have potentially been infected back in early 2020. Don't you think that this doesn't show what you believe it to show unless of course you want people to get boosters every quarter?

The second article doesn't provide any science at all so I'll refrain from commenting.

Well aren't you of the "health care is a human right" camp?

Weird you're cheering on the doctors who decided to walk out on their patients

But you'd be the one pushing them on the trains when you have the chance so not surprised

i thought you were in favor of people's right to go outside for a little fresh air

that's all those doctors did

i guarantee you they all are still working to take care of their moronic unvaccinated patients

"We studied the cross-reactivity of monoclonal antibodies to pre-existing SARS-CoV-2 strains, sera from convalescent individuals six or twelve months after the onset of COVID-19 symptoms and sera from recent recipients of a COVID-19 vaccine against an infectious Delta isolate. Some monoclonal antibodies, including bamlanivimab, lost their ability to bind to the spike protein and no longer neutralized the Delta variant. We also showed that the Delta variant is less sensitive to sera from naturally immunized individuals. Vaccination of convalescent individuals boosted the humoral immune response to well above the threshold of neutralization. These results strongly suggest that vaccination of previously infected individuals is likely to be protective against a large array of circulating viral strains, including the Delta variant."

oh and those doctors were out there exercising their freedom of expression

i guess the degree to which you support that freedom depends on the particular views being expressed

I support doctors treating all their patients or they should choose to not be doctors.

I know you are in favor discriminating based on politics or religion but I prefer my society to be healthier than that.

Tyrants always pick who they are OK with dying though. You are no different

But this implies continuous vaccination since we know it loses effectiveness quickly. And even without it the reinfection rate is incredibly low for those with natural immunity.

All of these studies are being done in the early stages of vaccination. Not sure if you are up to date on it but Israel is showing a lot of what we are going to start seeing in 2-3 months.

they can be doctors AND they can exercise their freedom of expression by protesting against the moronic decisions some people are making to remain unvaccinated

i guess you are having a little trouble with that second part and engaging in the usual passive aggressive attacks on those doctors who are merely using their freedom of expression to urge people to get vaccinated

Don't you think there are certain professions where you have impaired 'freedom' in order to maintain that profession?

Would you want a firefighter to not go into a burning building because there was a BLM sign on it?

Those doctors are free to protest on their own time, when they are not sacrificing the care of their patients who are paying for their service.

This is not complicated. But you have been broken for years. Pathetic what you find yourself defending these days

who said they didn't protest during their lunchtime

or did not have their employer's approval to step outside for a few minutes to raise their voices in favor of vaccination (something that i hear has your "blessing")

can't wait for the reveal

Hmm - they had few hospitalization and deaths the whole time.

They had similar infection peaks in two other instances and still little to no deaths.

You want the spoiler?

Deaths so far this year are down over 90% from deaths in the second half of last year. That's pretty impressive. I'd even go so far as to say it's a big ****ing deal.

Hopefully when we get vaccination rates up to Icelandic standards we will see a similar decrease.

So deaths during the vaccine effectiveness period are lower. I think we all agree that this is what is going to happen.

But why when they had infection peaks in other periods was it not followed by larger hospitalizations/deaths?

Do you want the spoiler? Its not hard to figure out...
