I have a great idea.

Lets inject an experimental treatment into a subset of the population that has a statistically zero percent change of death and an almost 0% chance of serious illness.

You can't make up how stupid people have become due to MSM fear porn.

If you're going to do mandates a better idea would be more targeted mandates in places where it might actually help. For example, requiring masks on public transportation. Public transportation is a place where you're around a lot of people for longer than 15 minutes in a poorly ventilated space. Targeted mandates would be better able to be enforced and make a lot more sense than general mandates.

I’ve said it before, but if I were trying to influence behavior, I’d save all my juice for vaccines and waste none of it on masks. One of the few things we know for sure at this point is vaccines work to keep people from experiencing the worst outcomes of a covid infection. At some point you have to pick your battles.

I'd absolutely pour everything I could into vaccines. I agree that it's the best weapon we have right now.

Masks are largely going to be a personal choice even if you have a mask mandate. Widespread enforcement of a general mask mandate is all but impossible.

They are good about enforcing it on children on airplanes

With kids the main goal of vaccination is to protect others. Kids definitely have lower rates of severe illness and death but they are still excellent vectors. We've seen teachers and school staff dying from Covid contracted from kids that weren't very sick at all.

Think of rubella. It's a disease that is usually extremely mild and has a tiny fatality rate. Yet we vaccinate almost all kids against it. So why do we vaccinate against it? One of the big reasons is that it's devastating for unborn babies. If a mother contracts rubella while pregnant, it can kill or cause lifelong issues for her baby.

Vaccines aren't just about protecting an individual. It's that thinking that causes a lot of problems.

It’s been shown time and time again that children are not material vectors of transmission.

The rest of the world is laughing at us.

We are perpetrating child abuse and people are cheering it on.

I have no problem enforcing masks on airplanes or public transportation. Those are high risk environments for spread so literally any help from the almost zero cost of wearing a mask would make it worth it.

Mask mandates while doing something like shopping for groceries is far less impactful and far harder to enforce. You usually don't have very prolonged contact with others while shopping and can social distance most of the time. So it's a low risk environment.

And the rest of the world is not laughing at us. Early studies showed children were not significant vectors because children were largely at home. Schools and extracurricular activities were cancelled. Once schools started going back and extracurricular activities started, you saw a lot more spread involving children. Your data is old.

Masks on children is child abuse.

Injecting experimental treatments with no long term studies in children is child abuse.

Taking away childrens social life is child abuse.

If those aren't child abuse then I question your definition.


We literally sheltered children's from months and then put them all together and people are surprised there is any spread at all. There are absolutely no studies to contradict originals that were done which showed they aren't material vectors of spread. They are holding the same viral loads and still have low incidents of even getting sick.

The rest of the world is LAUGHING at us.
