The Coronavirus, not the beer

Yeah. You get the worst of both worlds in that scenario. Ineffective social distancing, which doesn't slow down the epidemic much and carries very large economic costs. That's a nightmare scenario that I think could happen here.

It bothers me how cavalierly some people are with others health.
Covid-19 from all accounts is a horrible sickness.
Even if people aren't (thankfully) dying at the rates they were a short time ago
it is worth wondering , if like some cancer treatments , the cure is worth living for
We dont know

All the same it is insulting that people are dismissing the sickness .

Arguing the politics that was applied to this issue is working out because the death rates have gone down is idiotic
People are still getting needlessly sick

We've also seen a large number of countries, including ones in our peer group, bring down the number of people getting sick to very low levels. This can be done here too. We just need to stop being such chuckleheads about it.

You must mean the protesters right?

It is possible to protest in a socially responsible way. And in a socially irresponsible way. I participated in a BLM protest in my town, without getting within six feet of anyone and while wearing a mask. Si se puede.

Oh and I didn't wave a gun at anyone.

So who are you referring to as the 'chukleheads' and based on what actions?

I was glad to see Pence do this in Texas and talk about the importance of it.

Lol these folks caused more damage than the mass protests?

HahahahahahaabahahahahahaHH

Man...really got to blame this massive spike on an indivudal expressing their beliefs versus a massive protest all over the western world where maybe 50% at most are wearing masks or social distancing.

Its a cruel joke that you would pretend to blame our current situation on them and not the logical reason the spread intensified.

Continue to ignore science or just normal reasoning.

A University of Washington study estimates that we’d save 30,000 lives if 95% of people wore masks.

Bernie has an amendment to produce and send high-quality masks to everyone in the country.

JUST NOW: during a Senate hearing, Fauci and Redfield said they’d support doing it.

Whatever happened to police reform? All those protests for nothing?

What a wasteful, selfish act from all those protesters.

At least the health experts supported them, though

“Unfortunately, this simple lifesaving practice has become part of the political debate that says this: If you’re for Trump, you don’t wear a mask. If you’re against Trump, you do,” said the chairman, Sen. Lamar Alexander (Tenn.). “That’s why I’ve suggested that the president occasionally wear a mask, even though in most cases it’s not necessary for him to do so. The president has plenty of admirers. They would follow his lead.”
