The Coronavirus, not the beer

Churchill talked of "blood, toil, tears and sweat"

He did not promise that Hitler would one day just miraculously go away. Even Neville Chamberlain did not do that.

He did not promise a secret weapon that would be a "game changer."

let's call them what they are

lies

dangerous disinformation that can cause harm

"aspirational" should be understood as another term for lies or disinformation with potential to cause significant harm to the public

There is a difference between lying, and being wrong.

If you think this wrong info is lying, then you are also willing to say the CDC, WHO, NYC health director, BDB, Pelosi, and all media outlets were lying in February?

chosen one lies constantly

It is not a question of being wrong most of the time

But if you want to draw an equivalence with the entities and people you mentioned be my guest

No he didn't. Churchill blamed Chamberlin. He blamed the House of Lords. He bemoaned the fact that Africa was far away. He complained that the House of Windsor wasn't supportive enough. Lord knows he complained about FDR. And Eleanor. He threatened areas of England that were not appreciative of his Boar War fetes
The Mayor of Birmingham never gave him a proper seat in his carriage
He demanded a parade, and decided he and only he, not the King, would be pictured on the money.
So please mister don't invoke Churchill around here

And Milo !!! Don't forget Milo Minderbender …

Just pointing out people trying to politicize this are as usual misguided. If you choose to do it, then how can I have any faith the other side would have handled it better when their leadership was also wrong?

Like the time he got it wrong about Ted Cruz' father ?

When young children lie for no reason the tale of the Boy Who Cried Wolf is read aloud and discussed
Because in the tale the boy lost all credibility -- even when he did have something to say.
So yeah, there is a difference.
Trump crossed that line a long long time ago.
to my mind when he promised contractors in AC he would pay them in full. That would have been 1980's. ( see that might be wrong--- the lie would be saying he paid them )
Or more recently when he promise to release his tax forms

I am sure you can come up with a few.

Because the "other side" has a history of handling natural disasters and emergencies without resorting to half truths, deception and down right fibs.

From someone who doesnt like Trump, the media clearly has other interests in mind beside the American people's best.

Open your eyes
I don’t know how you fix media. For profit media ends up looking like what we currently have. A nationally funded media gets you what China has.

This one is on the consumer.

Hammer meets nail.

No one has handled this crisis worse than De Blasio. Ineptitude crosses party lines.

The other disturbing thing I found about yesterday's presser isn't just that Trump was crediting himself from saving the country from 2 mill deaths and only possibly 100k, it's the amount of time he kepy bragging and touting about this naval hospital ship, and how the army corps built a makeshift hospital in 3 days and he kept bragging about it like a presidential accomplishment. When you add in he also is bragging about tv ratings and such, it's really really really disturbing.
