Actually I had a conversation with someone who knows a lot more about these vaccines than I do a few weeks ago. He made the point that the vaccines will prevent people from getting sick, but will not prevent people from being infected and becoming infectious for a few days.
Wearing a mask is about protecting other people. But if those other people are choosing not to get vaccinated there may not be much social solidarity with them.
