The Coronavirus, not the beer

Can you provide any source that confirms this is happening and some estimate of that number?

No.

Why the F would I or could I and what would be the point? I think it's quite likely that there are misses on both sides of the equation and the current numbers are only a vague representation of the reality. As bodies pile up, panic and exhaustion sets in and the final numbers will be nothing more than an educated guess.

I think people in Japan are dying of Covid but are not being counted as such and every informed Japanese person I've spoken to thinks the same thing.

Over 30,000 new cases in the U.S. yesterday. Even if the curve is flattening, that's a lot of potential ICU patients still being created.

ATHENS, Ga. — At least 10 people have died from the coronavirus at one Athens nursing home, officials confirmed Tuesday.

The patients were residents at PruittHealth Grandview.

Channel 2′s Justin Gray talked to a nurse who said she was fired for not going back while still symptomatic for COVID-19. She said she got the virus from a patient who died from the illness.

She was one of multiple nurses who talked to Gray, but most wanted to remain anonymous to protect their jobs.

Nurse Myesha Moore first tipped off Gray to the coronavirus outbreak at Grandview after she was fired. She said the patients at the nursing home were like family to her.

“I’m devastated,” Moore said. “I’m a nurse, and I’m a new nurse at that. I thought I was there to take care of people and protect them and be an advocate for them, and yet I’ve been terminated for being an advocate.”

Gray reached out the PruittHealth at their Norcross headquarters.

They said in a statement:
“We are saddened to share that 10 patients of PruittHealth Grandview who were previously tested presumptive postive for COVID-19 have passed away in the past few weeks. PruittHealth Grandview continues to operate at an alert code red status and has been strictly following enhanced infectious disease protocol.”

Moore said she feels terrible for the victims and their families.

“I love them, I really do,” Moore said. “And it hurts. It really does hurt.”

PruittHealth denies terminating Moore, and said she is still on the payroll and even scheduled to earn hazard pay.

They also said they are restricting staff at Grandview to only essential personnel right now.

1 person was confirmed to have the virus and four more are being treated for symptoms at the hospital.

Genuine heart and compassion for the people

Trying to bring calmness to children and families who aren’t sure what is happening and for how long etc

What a real leader does during a crisis for the people they are supposed to be leading.

I also just want to put on the record that my favorite plot arc of this season is thethe's shift from:

1) We are counting COVID deaths as something else, that's why the math is wrong

to

2) We are counting something else as COVID deaths, that's why the math is wrong.

Life comes at you fast.

This is very easy logic to understand.

Wow. Really hope this social distancing and stay at home orders starts to reflect on the death toll soon. I suppose it already could be and we just don't see it (as in death counts over this same time could be potentially be much higher if not for the extreme measures) but let's hope that isn't the case. As much as I believe thethe is wrong, I sure hope he is right and the death rate is significantly lower than originally anticipated. A new trial in France showing hydroxychloroquine not having any effect on patients, which is discouraging.

Death timings are not predictable so there will be clusters. As is the case with confirmed cases it's all about the rate of growth. We are in a much better spot than anyone could have dreamed of 4 weeks ago.

The lagging effects of the quarantined on deaths will only be seen over this week. We have had significantly less hospitalizations and ICU admissions.
