The Coronavirus, not the beer

Yeah...deaths were always going to go up. Its indicative of what was happening 2 weeks ago.

Leading data is positive and trending in the right direction.

Tell me, was trending in the right direction that Sweden would go on to produce their 2 biggest days of new cases after?

Following the Johns Hopkins tracker -- have we even reached the peak yet?

Lot of infected nursing homes, prisons and unprotected immune systems out there to be preyed upon. And the doctors still know so little about the virus, like whether one can catch it twice or not.

The story of what we did with nursing homes will be written for a long time. So many didnt have to die.

This coupled with NYs bull**** presentation of their antibody testing.

They WANT the economy to be destroyed.

Yes, at our weekly anti-Trump conspiracy meetings we decided to include probables into the death count to overthrow Trump and install Communist hero Hillary Clinton as President for life. You caught us. Sherlock Holmes has nothing on you.

The ineptitude of democratic leadership is staggering.

Deaths should have never come close to this high.

If this was a policy specifically arranged by Trump what would the reaction be?

Did putting Covid patients in nursing homes have anything to do with having no place else to put them and/or trying to protect the general population? I don't know. That's why I pose the question.

I have nothing against nursing homes, my sister-in-law is the head nurse at one and I've spent the last 6 months translating/editing essays about the Japanese nursing home system, but they at least have available rooms and beds and an infrastructure of medical care. I tend to cut states and governors some slack when the leadership from the WH has been so frustratingly slipshod, when not absent altogether.

It is clear that nursing homes and state governments did not have robust plans and capabilities for quarantining large numbers of residents. One of many things for that to do list.

Nursing home care and cleanliness has been an issue for a long time.

I sadly had to watch my former wife's grandma go through alzheimers for a few years. So many issues whether through general administrative matters or just overall policy and adaptability. She had a roommate who would be overly physical due to her illnesses and it took a long time to get a transfer completed.

I think overall it should have made a lot of sense to NOT put CcP virus cases in an enclosed area with the most at risk.

This was a failure of epic proportions and full investigations need to be done.
