The Coronavirus, not the beer

Thank you for going to the dictionary lol

Then listing off a bunch of things, where you yourself say "well yeah i guess that could be considered - if you're being lazy!"

Then saying forcible suppression of opposition is a "big nope" after earlier on this page saying the peaceful dude getting arrested is totally justified and not as bad as Russia

Part of me wants to just go through twitter to people that thethe and strug share from and find the absolutely dumb**** things those people say

Watching the way the Trumpsters behave during a crisis shows they still need babysitting and indoctrination.

ZITO - "nobody's rights are being squashed!"

It's interesting to me that it is leftists who support the nanny state mandates of staying at home - for our protection of course. Not once have y'all said something is too much. Dude arrested for paddleboarding - that too much? Mom arrested for taking her kid to the park - that too much? Michigan governor not allowing the sale of produce seeds (forcing people to have to go to store) - that too much? Writing $1,000 tickets to people watching sunrise from their car - that too much? Force quarantining people for 14 days who attend a drive in Easter service - that too much?

Is anything listed above too much or too far? Or do y'all blindly support everything because your authorities tell you to.

The constitution gives us the right to peaceably assemble. Many places are not allowing that. And then you say "Our rights aren't being squashed"

Sorry time to have some fun

Writing $1,000 tickets to people watching sunrise from their car

https://timesofsandiego.com/crime/2...people-watching-sunset-at-beach-in-encinitas/

See that's the report. Nowhere in there does it say people were watching the sunrise from the car. All this comes from the picture shared in the article and

"The violations carry fines of up to $1,000 or six months in jail or both, the department said. "

No one is getting the max crime for this. It's more fakenews journalism.

As far as your points about Michigan, she made some bold moves. Some were bad. But guess what, you can get seeds and nursery plants in Michigan again. Has been that way since about a week or so after it was banned. She listened to her constituents and rolled back as long as people practice safe social distancing.

The guy wasn't arrested for paddleboarding, he was arrested for violating the law by not listening to a lifeguard and by breaking the stay at home order. IF he had Covid 19 he could have passed it along to other people. Here's the part about this that pisses me off. This dumb**** is out there on his own, what if he is in trouble. Up here we see it happen with hikers. People who hike in conditions that they shouldn't hike and put other people at risk who're attempting to help them. The hospital system shouldn't be burdened because some entitled twat wants to paddleboard and is bored.

I'm assuming the mom you're talking about is the Idaho one? Well she was arrested for Trespassing.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...daho-arrest-children-playground-a9478326.html

"Ms Brady confronted police officers who asked her to leave the playground, and claimed that parents — some of whom had captured video of the incident — were not trespassing.

"“There are a BUNCH of us taking our kids to Kleiner Park in Meridian today at 3pm to tear the tape off the playground. ANYONE can join us, kids or no kids, let’s take a stand!”, read the social media post shared with TheBlaze news."

Seriously these people are stupid, I hope they get the disease and they pass it to their parents and kill them because they deserve that. They're ****ty people. This is Idaho, not inner city Philadelphia. I'm sure these parents had their own property their kids could play on.

Force quarantining people for 14 days who attend a drive in Easter service - that too much?

No that makes sense. Consider we've seen several case blooms around large gatherings like this it makes perfect sense.

I have no real clue what this is about. I would like more info

"The constitution gives us the right to peaceably assemble."

Final thing, no it doesn't.

"the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances"

You'd have a point if they were arresting protesters. There's nothing allowing you to assemble for any reason at all. By that logic I could have a public execution and if the cops showed up I would tell them I have a right to assemble you can't harass me.

Learn your constitution bruv.

There is no forcible suppression of opposition. They're letting people protest. Don't be obtuse. If there was forcible suppression of opposition there would be more dead bodies from police killing people than COVID 19. Stop spreading fake news.

So uh... yeah you defend it all.

That's what I thought.

I also love the "I hope they get the disease and they pass it to their parents and kill them because they deserve that" line

What is wrong with yall?

Can make quite a nice quote board from the leftists on this board who actively wish harm on other people. Such tolerance. Such love.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled boot licking

I'm not tolerant. I'm a fan of civil rights. I'm not a fan of corporate destruction. But if someone willfully puts themselves in harms way for no good reason, I don't care what happens to them. If I tell you that jumping into a tiger cage is dumb and you could get killed and you jump in, I don't really care. I'm probably a bit of sociopath, and I know that. But I really don't care. I personally feel that anyone who violates the law shouldn't be admitted to the hospital. Because Doctors and Nurses shouldn't be put at risk because someone can't control themselves for a month or two. If someone said hey don't eat red meat for 2 months or you could die or potentially kill someone you love, I wouldn't do it. And I love red meat, eat it almost every day. But unlike these cretans I know self control. I understand it.

It's sucked for me, me and my friends play D&D every week. We play at my house and it's a good time to socialize and work together. This time of year if the weather was right we'd even consider doing an outdoor game. Instead we're stuck to playing over Discord, which has been fine, but it's certainly not the same and I know it's slowed down the pace and player engagement. It sucks. My job which is something that keeps my mind occupied is not full time. I'm still working because we're a restaurant and food producer, but it's something that's sucked. I'm not a person who does well when left to my own devices. When given too much time I tend to linger on things that don't matter and do unproductive things. I have basically forced myself to give daily and weekly tasks so I don't spiral into a downward spiral and not shower for many days in a row or stay in bed til 10. Because I've been that depressed before and I don't want to go there. ALl these things, and I have the self control to just not go out.

Actually yeah I'll go line by line

"The violations carry fines of up to $1,000 or six months in jail or both, the department said. "

No one is getting the max crime for this. It's more fakenews journalism.

But... they made it a violation!

As far as your points about Michigan, she made some bold moves. Some were bad.

You don't say...

The guy wasn't arrested for paddleboarding, he was arrested for violating the law by not listening to a lifeguard and by breaking the stay at home order.

LOL you're missing the point as usual. I didn't say that "paddleboarding was illegal." I said the guy got arrested for paddlboarding. You can play semantics all day long... but the fact is this guy was by himself, alone, in the ocean. And he got arrested. Lick that boot, baby

"Ms Brady confronted police officers who asked her to leave the playground, and claimed that parents — some of whom had captured video of the incident — were not trespassing.

We've made it a law that going to a park with your kid is a violation

Seriously these people are stupid, I hope they get the disease and they pass it to their parents and kill them because they deserve that.

What the **** is wrong with you.

On this board... we have this quote form you. Runnin saying protesters should be shot. Enscheff of course saying people who like due process should die. Goldy saying red states deserved natural disasters.

Seriously... do some self-reflection here

No that makes sense. Consider we've seen several case blooms around large gatherings like this it makes perfect sense.

How does this make sense? They are in their cars. Meanwhile, the govt lets tons of people go to the store. None of this makes sense!

Michigan Governor issues law saying I can't go to a friend's home... or even, my own home

I have no real clue what this is about. I would like more info

An extension of Michigan’s stay-at-home order barring residents from buying nonessential items or traveling “between residences” in the state except to perform essential activities went into effect Saturday morning.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) signed the order Friday evening after announcing it Thursday, also extending the order directing residents to stay in their homes until May 1. It's one of the most aggressive orders a U.S. state has issued since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

"All public and private gatherings of any size are prohibited," Whitmer said at a news conference Friday.

Final thing, no it doesn't.

Man oh man... the constitution is WAY more restrictive than I thought!

You'd have a point if they were arresting protesters. There's nothing allowing you to assemble for any reason at all. By that logic I could have a public execution and if the cops showed up I would tell them I have a right to assemble you can't harass me.

Digging up this old classic just for fun

[TW]1250111779574894594[/TW]

I get it Zito. You support any restrictions to freedom you can get your hands on. Its the leftist ideology and it's why leftists keep begging for it. But just know you and others have gone out of your way to basically defend every single arbitrary over reach that has happened in this country. You are a good citizen!

The Idaho playground mom was a classic Karen moment.

I usually don't side with police officers during videos like this, but they literally exhausted every option asking her to leave.

This is like saying that someone was arrested for speeding when they were pulled over for speeding and arrested for having a dead body in their back seat. Being correct is most important. Again, I know people who're often involved in hiking rescue, so I probably take this a bit more seriously than most. Putting other people at risk because you're bored is childish and irresponsible.

"We've made it a law that going to a park with your kid is a violation"

Because of what those dumb people were doing. Letting their kids play with each other potentially passing the virus around, they pass it to their parents who maybe have an elderly parent at home who gets sick and has to go to the hospital. It's pretty obvious if you have a brain why they did it. And The parks are owned by the city, they can shut them down.

"How does this make sense? They are in their cars. Meanwhile, the govt lets tons of people go to the store. None of this makes sense!"

They say they were in cars. Was there evidence that they were there the whole time? Was there evidence that Parishioner A didn't roll down the window to talk to Parishioner B? Nope because I'm sure if we had a city official watching this you would scream "TYRANNY"

"Man oh man... the constitution is WAY more restrictive than I thought!"

The constitution is expressly restrictive. If you believe it as a fossil that has no rigidity.

Raleigh is taking a gamble that a state of emergency will supercede constitutional rights. I don't know off the top of my head if that's been tested in court. I would support the protesters right to sue them and see what the courts have to say.

As far as the other michigan things. I see what you're saying now. Personalyl again, I don't care. I think she's within her power to do that. I find the between residences part to be dumb as I can't imagine it being that common, BUT, I do have a bit of insight that people who move from say a city where you're more likely to have the virus over to the country where it's less likely could quite easily be a Typhoid Mary that rocks a community that doesn't have the means to handle a swell in hospitalizations well. As far a friend's house thing goes, that's a very cynical reading of that order. But honestly, I doubt cops are going around seeing if people entering a house are residents or not. I'm assuming the private or public wording ahs more to do with say Church Groups, quilting clubs, etc. not joey going to brandon's house. But again, I don't have a problem with that. I've been incredibly insular since the middle of march. Seeing basically the same 5 people. Because of work. And the only other house I've been in since this started than my own is my girlfriend's parents which again, I work with them. There's no extended contact going on.

People like that remind me of ****head kids I used to deal with growing up. Who would say "It's a free country" when someone would tell them something. Not realizing that it's not an anarchist society and laws are in place. If you object to them that's fine but you're at risk of being arrested. Here we deal with a bunch of entitled mothers who thought themselves above the law. If it happened to me I wouldn't have argued I would have apologized and left. Because I'm not an idiot. If I have an issue with a law I talk to people who can work to change it. I don't argue with cops because I know what happens if I do, I'm on the wrong side of the law nad I'll be arrested or worse.

What part of a "stay at home order" is difficult to understand? A state of emergency allows for the state to pass mandates that supercede your constitutional rights (within reason, like you can't mandate that only all black people quarantine). This has been upheld by the Supreme Court (you know, the people that make rulings based on the constitution).

No your rights aren't being squashed. Just like they aren't during a hurricane, or a wildfire, or a terrorist attack.

Must've been a great teaching moment for her kids.

Reminds me of Willie Nelson's 3 family rules:

1. Don't be an a$$hole.
2. Don't be an a$$hole.
3. Don't be a GD A$$hole.

You continue to tell me that it is legal for my rights to be taken away, and thus, my rights aren't being taken away

Your rights are constantly taken away for public health and safety reasons. You typically get over it. Unless I missed your rant about why DUI laws are tyranny.

In Michigan, protesters were allowed to bring loaded automatic weapons into the capital building but signs were somehow not allowed.
