The virus is not a threat to the vast majority of the population. We shall see what the data looks like weeks from now.

But I'm on the side of the virus was always used to control the population. And man did it succeed

NYC still a week away from “phase 1,” where essentially nothing changes. At that point, still two “phases” away from restaurants being able to serve customers in their establishments, three “phases” from allowing people into museums.

The people of NYC really going to tolerate this charade as thousands of people congregate in the streets?

Cases nationally have pretty much flattened out.

Seven day average is falling in the four hardest hit northeastern states (NY, NJ, CT, MA) and rising in the rest of the country.

Big increases are being seen in AZ (101%), TX (51%), SC (47%), KY (61%), UT (44%).

The west coast states have seen some sharp increases in the past seven days: WA (44%), OR (52%), CA (24%).

The Memorial Day weekend might be introducing some volatility in some of these numbers.

But there have been plenty of hints in cases numbers or the percentage of tests coming up positive data that the number of infections is rising again in many parts of the country.

The good news is the hard hit states continue to make progress in number of cases during the past seven days: NY (down 16%), NJ (down 14%), CT (down 42%), MA (down 33%).

You're still counting positive cases as if it s some sort of meaningful metric?
 
Not sure if it's an error or a reflection of ramping up testing or what, but Sweden reporting 2214 new COVID cases, which is over 2.5 times their highest single day recording.

Dude...some of us have lives and can't spend hours a day vomiting 20 random twitter links. I've been pretty consistent in posting Sweden information for the past few weeks.

I haven't posted much in any thread lately. There isn't anything new worth discussing. The past like 5-10 pages are littered with nothing but talk about riots and protesting, which I have mixed feelings about. You won't admit you were clearly wrong on this from the beginning, so there isn't anything left to talk about.

Most daily deaths per 1 million population during the last week of May

1) Sweden 5.7
2) Brazil 4.6
3) Peru 4.6
4) UK 3.6
5) USA 2.9
6) Mexico 2.9

Sweden death rate more than ten times Norway's.

If you want to turn 100,000 deaths into 1 million deaths, Sweden offers the model.

Hmm... Sweden is 2x US, so wouldn’t that just turn 100k to 200k?
