The Coronavirus, not the beer

Another aspect to this comparison that is being overlooked is that you actually have to be hired as a cop. Anyone can just show up and be a protestor. Cops are hired. Bad cops are hired. There is a problem with the system that is allowing this people to not only get the job, but keep it long after they should've been fired.

Yup. Taxpayers pay their salaries and benefits. We elect mayors to oversee them. And yet they think they are a kingdom unto themselves. That's a problem.

You may recall that I was on these threads pounding the table for ending qualified immunity and busting police unions.

Those bills didn't even get a vote.

As I predicted.

Yell are focused on the wrong things.

Media needs to make up its mind on hydroxychloroquine. Few weeks ago it was working, now Trump is pushing a false cure. Just make up yalls mind one way or another. I mean damn. Is it that hard to get yalls stories straight?

A couple problems I have with hydroxychloroquine:

1: Its cheap. Attention liberals! Attention liberals! We all know these hospitals are owned by big greedy capitalist pigs right? Right?! Why would they want to push a drug thats so cheap when they can try and make more money. So all liberals should be promoting hydroxychloroquine to fight off these inhumane greedy capitalists.

2: Trump suggested it. So **** Donald Trump. Yeah hes an idiot. But no idiot could ever have a good idea right? So let's write it off since he was the one pushing it. Right?....**** Donald Trump and his hydroxychloroquine, even if it is working. Sssshhhh....quiet down now. We dont want anyone to know that it has helped.

3: If hydroxychloroquine works, then weve wasted millions and more making these vaccines we want to push to the public that costs way more then hydroxychloroquine ever will. **** that! **** capitalism!

Rally around me Democrats! Hydroxychloroquine is for the poor! Not for the 1 percenters! **** them for wanting to make more money.

57?
Goldfly?
Cajun?

Step up my liberal friends

Media is plural. For one person one day to say HDQ is great and the next day says it doesn't work is one thing.

But since media is plural, perhaps it ought not to be surprising to see stories with different takes on it.

Especially since different studies and different experts have different takes. What is the media (plural) supposed to do in that situation?

Hate to be a pedant. But media being plural means there are several minds out there. Not a single mind. That's why I bolded media and mind in the quote. Unless you think media is a monolith with some sort of Vulcan mind meld juditsu going on.

Oh man, you're another liberal I forgot to put on the list. Sorry my friend.

Step up and speak out against these greedy capitalists who want to make more money by not pushing a cheap drug like hydroxychloroquine. We cant let them win

No we can't. So what are you asking us to do? Come out for HDQ?

Why not? It's cheap. It helps the poor. It's got plenty of support that it works.

Actually I've been thinking about India (poor country) and HDQ lately. India apparently is making very heavy use of HDQ. And deaths have been very low in India even while cases have skyrocketed.

Now there might be some other explanation. Maybe their data on deaths isn't good.

Or maybe it is the spicy food that is keeping them alive.

But it is worth a closer look.

Maybe a double blind randomized trial along these lines.

Half the panel gets bland English food plus HDQ.

The other half gets their regular diet but no HDQ.

We need to get to the bottom of this.

I'll agree their data on deaths and stuff may not be good. Maybe India isnt the most reliable source

But from what I've seen there is more then ust anecdotal proof this drug can be effective.

So maybe the orange clown, even by pure luck, got something right for once?

Maybe these hospitals are trying to push more options just to make more money?

I dont know the answers. Wont pretend to. Just think there is more here then meets the eye.

Lol if it turned out HDQ was the answer, trump will win.

Therefor, HDQ won't be the answer until at least November 4

and if curry is the answer he needs to move Nikki Haley to the veep spot

and creepy joe has no choice but to go with Kamala

I mean science can be weird. This whole thing about HDQ reminds me of cold fusion from the 1980s. I don't know if you remember cold fusion. It was a big deal for a while.

It's amazing how many people on my facebook have shared the "Doctor Stella" video today.

lol

So many get trolled because of confirmation bias. I get wanting an answer. But dang people....

And doctors, leave your white coat in the locker when you are doing a press conference. Next thing you'll have a stethoscope around your neck doing your next photo-op. And that goes for Fauci too. We get it already, you are a doctor.

And another thing, dangit Fauci, wear the mask the whole time you are at the ballpark. You'd think you'd realize they would take a photo of you with it off or down, yucking it up. Now you make those of us already fed up with all the junk on FB have to endure even more. Smh.

This guys is a ****ing joke. An outdoor event of people congregating is suddenly a crime....

"The town of Southampton is going to have a problem. The promoters are going to have a problem," Cuomo said Tuesday. "This is a law. It's not, 'Please do me a favor.'"

Same. It's interesting that to defend OO they so easily accept someone they'd call a Nigerian voodoo doctor any other time.

I have no opinion on HCQ, but this guy seems to think it works... here's an opinion piece written by Harvey Risch (professor of epidemiology at Yale) about HCQ...

https://www.newsweek.com/key-defeati...pinion-1519535

...

He could be a total quack for all I know, but he seems to be qualified to give an educated opinion
