The Coronavirus, not the beer

I was symptomatic insomuch as I was aware I had Coronavirus and noticed that there was a reason for my severe fatigue. I could have very easily gone through a full cycle of the virus unaware of the cause.

Symptomatic is far too subjective to draw any sort of conclusion from.

could mean anything from sniffles to death

Exactly. I question how much transmission actually occurs from individuals who are actually “asymptomatic” vs positive people who have a headache or body aches who don’t think much of it that still go out.

i already had to promise sturg no one will force him to take one

i know he is a closeted anti-vaxxer

Personally, you will find me on the anti-vaxxer side.

And I’m an anti-anti-vaxxer.

There is no chance these drugs are going to be properly studied before they are released in the wild.

yeah...nothing wrong with being an anti-vaxxer or cautious about vaccines (i have a nephew who had a bad experience with them)....i respect your straight-forward acknowledgment

Personally, I'll get the vaccine as soon as it's available to me. The vaccines are being built on tried and true practices. It's a new virus but the same process.

also a perfectly respectable position...i'll also be getting one as soon as its available

vaccines do on occasion cause health problems...but the stats indicate that is quite rare and far outweighed by the benefits

One month after reopening amid the mounting coronavirus pandemic, with the United States surpassing 5 million cases over the weekend, Walt Disney World is modifying its hours of operation in a new schedule taking effect on Sept. 8, the day after Labor Day.

Disney’s already limited hours will be reduced by one to two hours per day, depending on the park. The change comes days after Disney reported unexpectedly low park attendance.

it's not shutdowns that killed the economy...it is a pandemic that has led people to curtail many of their normal activities...the sad thing is we have squandered opportunities and time...with competent leadership from the federal government, Disney and many other businesses would be doing much better...our shambolic approach has led us to have a poor outcome both economically and epidemiologically

I’ll be first in line to get a vaccine that’s developed along those same tried and true practices. I’ll wait and see what that ultimately shakes out like.

But you have to acknowledge we will not have much in terms of research w.r.t. the long term side effects of a new vaccine.

The reason antibodies didn't show 50% coverage when well over 50% of rhe by population was exposed.

How I feel about most things. Everyone should make their own decisions. But personally I dont go to doctors. Not because I think its not effective but because I believe in my body and choices I've made in my life to build up my own bodies defenses.

Spain reporting 73 deaths today, which is most since May 26th. From May 27th thru yesterday, 42 was the most deaths reported... this was a huge jump. Not sure what happened today.

That's about as irresponsible and dumb as I would expect from you. You'll go just like everyone else if you get sick enough.

I've never gotten a flu shot but always say I'm going to next year.

I'm allergic to doctors too. But as I've gotten older certain people in my life have staged various interventions to get me to go see them more often.
