I'm just wondering if there is a limit to what our covid scaredy cats would approve of to combat the scary virus.
Their unwillingness to comment on western countries like Australia and Canada tell me that there isn't.
And thus, I'm not interested in giving them any power over my life because authoritarians like them will never stop
At the start of the pandemic we were sold that even 25% mitigation would be a dramatic victory.
We are now up to 99% mitigation and there is no end in sight.

David Byrd, who attended maskless gatherings, was on a ventilator and needed a liver transplant as a result of the infection.
A GOP lawmaker in Tennessee who once backed a bill claiming the media sensationalized the coronavirus “in the service of political agendas” has a new message after nearly dying of the infection.
“It is a disease that wants to kill us,” state Rep. David Byrd wrote over the weekend in a statement cited by NewsChannel 5 in Nashville. “Please take it seriously.”
The Tennesseean reported that Byrd attended a state House Republican retreat in November, which included a dinner with dozens present, and he was seen on the House floor without a mask on Nov. 24.
Byrd was diagnosed with coronavirus one day later.
“Foolishly, I believed this virus only seriously affected people who are at high risk,” he stated. “COVID took over my lungs with lightning speed. I developed pneumonia. I got sicker and sicker, and more and more anxious. Every breath was pure agony.”

And went around senior WH staff to do it taking advantage of the madness that was early in the Trump administration (completely FBI/media driven of course). Fauchi should be tried as a war criminal at this point. Even if you can't prove malintent he gave over dangerous biological weapons research over to a communist totalitarian state.

And this is the person people on this board looked to for guidance and support through the pandemic. Embarrassing.

Just read an article on NPR that admits vaccinated can spread virus and viral load is same for vaccinated and unvaccinated, but goes on to say vaccine prevents 90% of hospitalizations. I do wonder how they get that number. What is the hospitalization rate for an infection? Seems it would be very small to start with
But see I don't care about those figures because that's an individual choice to not take the vaccine which may lead to an additional risk of hospitalization.
The concept behind forced vaccinations is that the unvaccinated pose a greater risk to those that are vaccinated through spreading of the virus. That risk is no longer there and therefore vaccine mandates for anything are complete bull**** and theatre to gain control. Anyone not acknowledging that at this point is part of the problem.

So the peak hospitalization dates are almost exactly a year apart with ~50% vaccinated.
All the SE states' case graphs are basically doing the same thing as this time last year with peaks even bigger in some states. This with vaccinations introduced into the equation.
