Woke Disney is removing mask mandates in their FL parks, while cases are at all time highs.

I guess enough people didn't like having a mask around their face in 95 degree heat and paying $12K for the experience.

Most people won't need it but if you have a comorbidity or are old then it will be wise to get them. Life will be back to normal as the twitter mob spends their time being outraged with whoever the next R President will be.

The post of mine stated that the amplitude will be lower for states with high vaccination rates.

If you want to say that my claim is incorrect how does posting a graph of Hawaii do that. Hawaii is not even a high vaccination state (not in the top 15). I said the amplitude will be lower for high vaccination states. To address my claim you need at a minimum to compare a state with a high vaccination rate with another state that has a low vaccination rate.

The latest hospitalization rates per 100,000

1. Florida 80
2. Alabama 59
3. Louisiana 58
4. Mississippi 57
5. Georgia 49
6. Arkansas 47
7. Texas 45
8. Nevada 42
9. Oklahoma 40
10. Missouri 39
11. Kentucky 39
12. Tennessee 36
13. South Carolina 34
14. Arizona 26
15. Kansas 25
16. West Virginia 25
17. North Carolina 24
18. Hawaii 23

Hawaii is not one of the most highly vaccinated states. They are in the middle. So it is not surprising they are seeing middling results. I suspect reopening to tourism has affected them some. Just as Florida and Nevada (two other highly touristic states) are seeing hospitalization rates a bit worse than you would expect from their vaccination rates.

1) Delta variant

2) Reopening to tourists.

3) I think there is a relaxation in behavior that happened there and elsewhere after vaccines had been made available and cases had dropped.

I guess you missed the memo that the ccp virus was engineered for the purpose of enabling big brother to control the people. And there will be no going back.

They do. But as you and others have pointed out, vaccinated people can be contagious. Combine that with a part of the population that is unvaccinated (or just recently vaccinated) and enjoying life without covid restrictions and you get an upsurge in hospitalizations. Hopefully, the data on people that are partially vaccinated indicate that more people in Hawaii (and elsewhere) are getting off the fence and getting their shots.

You had a silly post earlier about vaccinated people infecting vaccinated people. Well in Hawaii it seems some vaccinated tourists have infected unvaccinated locals. If those locals had been vaccinated, they would have had mild symptoms instead of ending up in the hospital.

Rocket science it aint.

I don't think this supports your preferred narrative that vaccinations are the silver bullet.

2. Require proof of vaccine from tourists
