The Coronavirus, not the beer

There is no prevention of spread from the vaccines.

Therefore, mandatory vaccination makes ZERO SENSE.

I agree about the mandatory part on general principle. The 96% of Covid patients at my county hospital who are unvaccinated, and the deceased (former) Covid patients there, of whom 100% also weren't vaccinated, would hopefully tell you that vaccination makes sense. And they aren't/weren't all old or fat.

I took my dad to get the vaccine.

For those where it makes sense they should do it. I've been very consistent with that position.

Nobody (statistically nobody) is dying if they are under 40 and healthy. And if you maintain a healthy lifestyle then that age number can be bumped considerably.

Maybe because hypochondriacs aren't getting themselves tested in Idaho?

True. They are all rugged individualists in Idaho and take responsibility for their choices, and would not flood the hospitals across the border in Spokane. I bet those helicopters landing in Spokane are carrying crisis actors.

positivity rate in Vermont is 4% (up 33% from 3% a week ago!)

in Idaho it is 23%

just sayin

The graphic is showing daily new cases per million. That's hardly a misleading way of presenting the data.

In June it was 10ish new cases per million per day. Now it's 275ish new cases per million per day. It is, as implied by the commentary, a surge. Despite the vaccination rate being around 175% the number Fauci assured us would prevent surges.

I was just providing a little context to your not misleading post.

They may not have all been old and fat.

But I would wager they all had something in common.

Anyhow, I hope they all see the light and become evangelists for vaccines.

If you're implying they didn't trust the vaccine then I would agree with you. If you're making another dig at people who vote republican or are white, then the large number of blacks included in those numbers would disprove your point.

Remember - Nsacpi cares so much about public health he hasn't commented on letting migrants into the country unvaccinated.

Some insight to how much of a fraud he is.

stupidity sadly crosses all races

as i said there are multiple ancillary benefits to burn baby burn

As was already pointed out, positivity rate is hardly an objective piece of data. My kid was at the doctor this week. Diagnosed with a sinus infection, given antibiotics, not tested for Covid. That could have easily been a negative test in another office that tests more liberally, decreasing that positivity rate.

I also wonder what states require a lot of testing for work and which ones don't.

Is it stupid not to trust government encouraged vaccines within a couple generations, and a couple hours drive, from Tuskegee? Is it paranoia to know about something like MK Ultra and not fully trust a rushed vaccine the government either just approved or still hasn't approved?

Hey I give her credit for at least admitting it rather than going silent and pretending it never happened. Which is what most will do. And will do when Biden tells everyone he’s going to follow the science while he fights with the FDA and CDC on booster guidance.

TDS still strong - folks don'twant to call out govt overreach, missteps, general poor guidance, senseless rules, mandates, mixed messaging, etc, for fear of being associated with Trump (or more locally, thethe)

I agree. Positivity rate data need to be used with caution. Sometimes there is a surge in testing related to schools or universities that will skew the positivity rate one way or another.

Still I'd say the low positivity rate in the highly vaccinated states compared to the lightly vaccinated states is a pretty good piece of evidence that vaccines are suppressing the spread of covid. I'm curious to see how this plays out over the winter. There is both a seasonal and vaccination effect at work and we'll find out how good the vaccines are at reducing spread when New England (and Scandinavia) move into winter.

Come to me guys!

I may be crazy - But my track record on the issues is pretty good.

I would say both paranoid and stupid. Yes. What happened with Tuskegee is awful. It requires quite a stretch of paranoia to connect it to the covid vaccine. But there is a lot of deza out there reinforcing whatever paranoia and stupidity people are predisposed toward.
