The Coronavirus, not the beer

Way back when our institutions still had credibility

People also love to glance over the fact that when the lights weren't on and he gave professional advice to a colleague he advised her that masks were pointless.

When do we start asking the obvious question?

There's 4 people I work with who aren't vaccinated and got COVID this year. One got it twice.

Maybe the reason the majority of people who get COVID are because they're vaccinated, are because the majority of people in the USA have some form of vaccination and the virus is more contagious than ever.

80% of the population has at least one vaccination so of course they're going to represent more cases

It's actually because.after the winter of death there are no unvaccinated people still alive

I mean like 100% if the population has gotten Covid. A good percent more than once.

Sooo….

I mean we could dive into the numbers. i don't think it matters that much to the discussion as the thread is just a giant circle jerk for peopel who don't want to have honest discussions.

Right

So it's like when someone provides facts that counter your argument you just make a non-sequitur. Got it.

I'm following the science

This was once a pandemic of the unvaccinated... and those people were promised a winter of death and despair

the science wasnt wrong was it?

now that all the unvaccinated are dead its safe for eveyonr to make their own health choices again

with the benefit of hindsight... do you think maybe just maybe the covid skeptics were right about a few things?

How did Brazil do? That's what the covid skeptics wanted.

Maybe perhaps things can evolve. Like now with fairly reliable treatments things change.

Can’t believe how dumb you had to be to support mass vaccination and lockdowns.

Explain why this matters?

Because it's more relevant in a pandemic world than 2015-2019.

Here's where that person snagged the infographic from

https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/statistics-explained/index.php?title=Excess_mortality_-_statistics

Some highlights

Following a peak of 26.5 % in November 2021, in June 2022 excess mortality in the EU decreased slightly compared to the previous month, to 6.2 %.

Between March 2020 and June 2022, the EU recorded four distinct waves of excess mortality, with peaks in April 2020 (25.2 %), November 2020 (40 %, the highest), April 2021 (20.9 %) and November 2021 (26.5 %).

FWIW I expect June 2020 to be lower as that was peak masking/social distancing/lcokdown era. After the very rough April 2020 most of Europe took the Pandemic very serious

But the point is, you're comparing a outbreak world to a post outbreak world.

No the idea is that excess deaths is all we should need to know so comparing excess deaths to an extreme outlier year is irrelevant.

Something is still killing people more than expected and it ain’t the ccp virus.

Why are there never any consequences to breaking the law like this? Why aren't all legislators who supported this immediately impeached?
