The Don

When Trump wants to build walls to keep out foreigners he's a racist.

When Bernie Sanders wants to keep out foreigners because he's afraid they'll depress wages of Americans, he's just looking out for the little man.

When aces and sturg say both if these guys are ****ing idiots and point out they have a lot more in common than either of their supporters would like to admit, well, they're probably racists too because why not? And they're probably closet Trump fanboys because..?

Do I have that right?

The immigrants "taking American jobs" meme has been around for a long time and folks like Sanders votes reflected the labor movement's thinking at that time. I think across a broad range of low-paid Americans, the sentiment remains the same. There's been a huge shift in liberal thinking on this issue as the younger generation takes the stage. Immigration reform--often in the form of straight-out amnesty--is near the top of the latest list of priorities. Some of it comes from changing demographics and some from pity.

But it is kind of funny that Sanders doesn't seem to take a lot of heat for those votes.

I find this comforting.

WASHINGTON—Leading GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump said Friday he wouldn’t order the U.S. military to break international laws, addressing criticism from military and legal experts that his policies regarding torture and killing the family members of terrorists would violate the Geneva Convention.

Let me add, both parties are the same and both are disgusting
I mock

The group of black college students who were booted from a Donald Trump campaign rally in Georgia on Monday were removed at the campaign’s request, local law enforcement told MSNBC.

About 30 students had planned to sit in silent protest during the rally on the Valdosta State University campus, but police said they were directed to remove them at the specific request of a Trump staffer.

“A member of the [Trump] event staff approached a member of our agency and requested that the group be asked to leave,” Capt. Stryde Jones, a Lowndes County Sheriff’s officer, told the network.

Another member of local law enforcement who worked the event backed up Jones’ account.

“I spoke to a Trump staffer, whose name I do not have, she told us that they needed to leave,” Valdosta Police Chief Brian Childress told MSNBC. “Not only did I talk to a Trump staffer, so did the University police, and we were told over the radio by the Sheriff’s office that Trump staff wanted them out.”

Trump campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks said in a statement the campaign had no knowledge of the incident “until after reading these false reports.”

A TPM request to the campaign for further comment was not immediately returned Friday morning.

Accounts differ on why the students were ejected from the event, but Childress told Time magazine they were “shouting profanity.”

Trump’s events are routinely punctuated by protesters being dragged out, often with the Republican frontrunner cheering their removal. On Monday, a Secret Service agent slammed a Time photographer to the ground after he left the press pen at an event in Virginia. Two days later, an avowed white nationalist took credit for shoving a black protester at a rally in Kentucky.

Obama approval 3/4/16: 51%

Bush approval 3/6/08: 32%

I guess we prefer 20 million Americans gaining insurance to 7.9 million losing it.

It's astounding how dense you are.

It could have something to do with having one of the worst economic collapses in US history... or having unpopular wars.

Nah, it's the law forcing people to get heath insurances (which they could have done before the law). Got it.

It's funny... the fed policies (artificially low interest rates) that contribute to the massive wealth gap, the lack of wage growth, and the lack of retirement savings, are the same policies that contribute to business expansion and low unemployment.

So which do you prefer

Getting back to that degree ...

It's just soooooo old.

Any criticism of Obama and I'm a racist. Yet you guys can take open fire on Carson, Cruz, Rubio, Carly, Jindal, etc.

Notice how you aren't called racists for disagreeing with political stances?

This is about what I expected. Challenge them on Sanders' past and you get bombarded with memes and tweets to dodge and deflect and hope that the conversation changes.

Last week, Sanders got a KKK endorsement and his son was the feature interview in a white supremacist mag/blog.

Week before that Sanders concluded Megyn Kelly was aggressivly questioning him because she was menstruating.
Disgusting

2 weeks before that Sanders had 30 Black Students RFBB (removed for being black) from a rally.

Week before that Sanders had a Telemundo reporter physically removed from a press conference. Telling his body guard "get him outta here"

During a Dem debate Sanders told Martin O'Malley to shut up because he was polling in single digits. While he, Bern was at 25%

Just a few days ago Sanders explained how he was a leader and if he tells the military to do something, you better believe, they will do it

Week before that Trump was interrupted at a rally by 4 Black Lives Matters reps and he then invited them onstage to make their points

Yeah, I guess you guys got a point

Whatever makes you feel better for supporting a bigot...

No, but the left seems to be doing just that, aren't they? When the other guy says/does something he's racist; when my guy supports essentially supports a similar position wrapped in different packaging, oh, he's just being a politician.

Just to be clear, by "saying or doing something", we're talking about attacking people verbally or physically because of their skin color.

So, YES. I think we are in agreement.

I will try to answer this.

I've been doing job placement/recruiting since last May, and the H1B visas are the biggest headaches I have to deal with. I come across very qualified American resumes but they ask more than what HR is looking for, so they end up hiring an Indian or Chinese H1B visa person for less than market value. And in 3-4 years when that H1B visa expires they move on to the next one.

I think Bernie has voted against increasing H1B's because there's just no reason to. H1B's were created to help fill demand in the engineering/financial job markets, but now corporations are going the easy way out by asking Congress to increase H1B's. I mean the H1B visa folks are fine with taking less than market value because that's a lot more than what they were gonna make in their home country anyways.

On the other hand, low skilled immigrants that Trump wants to block certainly have jobs Americans are too prideful to take like in agriculture.

So in my view just having dealt with it directly, Bernie wanting to not increase the H1B count is not similar to Donald's wall.

There are many Americans that could fill the void, but H1B is just the easy way out.
