The Don

Agreed. It was the same story the past two cycles. My money is on whatever 538 says is most likely to happen.

I tend to agree. I think this is going to be closer than the polls now indicate, but I wonder if it will be enough in enough places to flip the electoral vote map. I imagine all the pollsters put a fudge factor into their polls that reflects the likely participation of certain segments of voters. How that is weighted likely affects the polls. Rasmussen has Trump leading, which makes me think their weighting of new registrants they assume will be voting for Trump is higher than it is in other polls.

What makes you see a surge? He has a terrible ground game which doesn't coincide with unexpected voters. 538 has his chances at 13%. He's basically sunk if he doesn't win Florida, and he isn't polling well there at all. He isn't winning PA. He isn't winning CO. He may even lose Arizona. I'd like to hear rationale for why he may win other than people's "feelings." Because basically nothing suggests he'll win.

Again, it may not be enough to tilt enough swing states, and his path is definitely extremely narrow. And I won't be surprised either if she pulls off 350 electoral votes or whatever. But I think too many people are applying traditional political strategies to him. I honestly don't believe a traditional "ground game" is as important to him. Again, it may all hinge on what the church folk do. While you say him claiming the vote is rigged could suppress voter turnout, you could also make an argument that everyone repeating over and over again the election is over with could sink Democratic turnout as well.

I mean, overall, you're right - the data, at least what we see, is all pointing to her. But after all the **** he's pulled, it's extremely hard for me to bet against him. Maybe I'm just full of manure.

One other thing: This is not just any other Democrat running. There's an extraordinary amount of hate for Hillary Clinton on the right. It's even greater than the hate for Obama. It can be a huge motivating factor.

That's fine, it's just not showing up anywhere. Polls were consistently running close until the debates and all. Now they aren't. There's also a lot of hate for him from the left, and he's a far worse candidate overall and most level-headed people seem to agree. We'll see, but I think she wins by 5+ points.

he is such a loser, he went to a light hearted charity roast that has been going on forever and bombed at it and came off like the clown he is

"[If] you've run for office on family values, why wouldn't you walk away from him months ago? When you heard your nominee for president call women pigs and dogs and slobs, and grade them not for their character or their intellect, but on a scale of 1-10. You don't have to be a husband or a father to stand up for women."
—President Obama to Republicans who still support Trump

YEa all the 1%ers and media shills were booing him.. what a "loser".. She deserves to be hammered into non-existence (in the political (and probably civilian) realm). He's a legend.

Yes, the weathy and elite NYers, who know him better than anyone, clearly don't like him. He'll at least go down in history as a legendary American villain. Hopefully, that's all.

Hillary will hopefully be remembered as the first woman president and the one who saved the country and the world from said villain.

I guess this is the response to that. A lot of new folks coming into the system. It's difficult to tell if those are anti-Trump or anti-Hillary voters. I think Hillary will win and maybe more comfortably in the electoral vote than in the popular vote. A lot of the swing states will be really close. This isn't over by any stretch.

I would ask her what she has to say to a 5 old girl who is raped in foster care because her parents is in prison for possession of pot. I would ask her how she can say she fights for the people when she takes huge donations from pharmaceutical and alcohol companies to keep pot illegal when more people support legalization than will vote for her. I can't think of many things more evil than taking bribes that cause millions of people to be kidnapped, held against their will and sexually assaulted.

Again, propaganda....and propaganda from a newspaper that's already been outed as being completely biased for Hillary. Is this really passing as journalism these days?

Lets ignore all the truly awful things Hillary and her campaign has done and concentrate on things he's said like "unfunny show" (SNL).

Ignore the woman behind the curtain and just pay attention to this pointless carrot we dangle in front of your face. You people are sheep to the system.

Good morning, America! Today you're paying for the Secret Service of a guy who pays no taxes and is doing a commercial for his new hotel.
