Why are you defending these things?

Why are you defending these things?
Well first, they didnt break any laws, so I dont see the big deal. You dont have a right to post on twatter. Second, Trump is the most anti-free speech politician I know of in modern politics. And I do enjoy people getting their own **** thrown back at them. I believe in the free market and thats how this is going to be handled. If people dont like it they can opt out of using it and move to something else. Theres no shortage of competitors and many of them were born specifically to cater to people who are upset about these issues. And third, I am just as upset about this as you are about Russia helping Trump in 2016.
Observation 1: law enforcement is generally biased against those inclined to break the law
Observation 2: moderation against deza and lies will generally be biased against those who promulgate them
Corollary 1: if a political party comes to be associated with law breakers law enforcement will be biased against it
Corollary 2: if a party comes to be associated with lies and deza content moderation will be biased against it

I really don't feel like going through the same song and dance with you yet again. You're the guy who thinks no conviction equals no crime so there is no point in going forward. But for the 100th time, the government cannot collude with private businesses to suppress speech
The government can, does, and will keep doing it. If the company is doing it willingly its not a first amendment violation. What is a first amendment violation is trying to raise rates on Amazon because their owner also owns a newspaper that prints things the President doesnt like.

But I'll bite...
Which of the following are deza
- the virus likely originated from a lab
- the COVID vaccine does not stop you from getting or spreading COVID 19
- closing schools will have catastrophic consequences for child development
- lockdowns will result in unintended consequences, like shuttered businesses, alcohol abuse, missed cancer screenings, and social anxiety/depression
^ all of the above resulted in some sort of censorship on twitter... So please lecture me about which are deza
Some of you have made the observation in a different context that the fact police statistics are skewed against a particular group is not proof of discrimination. And if an innocent from that group is caught up in the dragnet well that's too bad. Profiling is a bitch. It generally works if not perfectly. No man made policy passes the test of perfection. Of course we should always strive to do better, etc, etc.

Look at the bright side. This is a learning opportunity for how to be more empathetic human beings. All twitter did to right wingnuts is a very light-handed type of profiling.
