But again, you can both condemn the Presidents actions while believing that impeachment is a pointless endeavor at this juncture. It's also worth noting that the Dems are trying to circumvent the impeachment process and trying to rush it through. If this happened 3-4 month ago, I might support it. There would have sufficient time for hearings. But 8 days isn't enough time. And while I absolutely believe the POTUS acted irresponsibly and potentially criminally, that great thing about America is that everyone is presumed innocent. The process needs to be followed and not rushed through for political purposes. Two wrongs don't make a right.
Unfortunately, the Dems won't accept that sort of response from Republican reps. Either you're for impeachment, or you are complicit with sedition. This isn't unity and healing.

They want permission to continue the behavior that got us here.

The President-elect is literally the one calling for unity and healing.
Impeachment is to simply put Republicans on record for who is still willing to tow the Trump lies.
The "objectors" who said enough is enough and backed down after the chaos aftermath, should be put on record. They can't use the events of that day as an excuse to say OK NOW I DON'T OBJECT ANYMORE.
It's one thing to say it in front of the media, it's another to be put on the actual record.

So Harvard removed Elise Stefanik (one of the anti-democratic fascist House members who voted to throw out the electoral votes of Arizona and Pennsylvania) from an advisory committee. Poor Elise is upset. Outraged I tell ya.
Now I have a generally low regard for Harvard. They are at best a second-rate university. But I want to congratulate them on standing up to the anti-democratic fascists that voted to disenfranchise the voters of Arizona and Pennsylvania.
145 is a number to remember. That's how many members of Congress voted to disenfranchise the voters of either Arizona or Pennsylvania or both. 138 in the House, 7 in the Senate.

What posters ignore is the politicsl price of not impeaching.
It is way past time to stop analyzing politics from a base of conservative groups point of view.
As in " fair and balanced" which ranks up there with personal responsibility, fiscal, responsibility, thoughts and prayers and last but not leasy unity and healing.
All empty platitudes the rubes eat up
That is the base of political thought 1/5 the way through the 21st century.
