Every other recent klan rally or whatever had been peaceful. Everytime antifa gets together there's been a mini-riot. That should answer your question

I think now you might be the one making a false equivalency. You honestly think that if peaceful protesters showed up and the nazi's weren't anticipating violence from those protesters that we would have seen anywhere near the violence we saw?

Not sure if it's been posted in here yet but has anyone watched the video piece Vice did? They brought shields and guns were close by. They were Nazis and they were terrorists advocating the ethnic cleansing of this country. If I lived anywhere nearby I would have been right there shouting them down.

Is the argument here that everyone should have just let the Nazis and Klansmen have their rally and not stood up to them?

Their violent uprising against hate speech was obviously a factor in the events that led to this terrorism. And defending them will only lead to more violence which will likely lead to death.

Antifa was there to scrap, and so were the WNs. There's plenty of evidence of instigation going both ways. There's also plenty of evidence of unprovoked aggression against counter protesters, whose speech is every bit as protected as those of the nazis.

They should have let them have their rally and stud up to them through peaceful but destructive speech that would have won out in the end.
