12 percent of Bernie voters voted for Trump which pushed him over the top. In Wisconsin 51k Bernie voters voted for Trump and he won the state by 22k. In Michigan 47k went for Trump with a victory margin of 10k. In Pennsylvania he Trump got 116k Bernie bros and won by 44k.

Probably significant numbers of Bernie voters stayed home as well. But when its that close you can slice and dice it in a way that makes just about any subset of voters be the ones who made the difference.

Suppose you’re the kind of thoughtful liberal who concluded from Donald Trump’s election that you’ve been living in a bubble and need to better understand the causes of America’s distemper. Suppose, too, that you have friends who voted for Trump — and who you know for a fact are neither bigots nor buffoons.

Why are they so angry? How could they feel so desperate, politically speaking, to cast their ballots for him?

For a sense of the answer, look no further than Education Secretary Betsy DeVos’s announcement Thursday that her department would revisit the Obama administration’s Title IX guidelines on campus sexual assault. The guidelines, she said, had “failed too many students” by radically curtailing due process. She’s right.

One way to think about the 2011 letter is as an effort to combat the scourge of campus rape. That’s a laudable goal, even if evidence of its epidemic proportions is sketchy and good numbers are all but impossible to come by. In 2015, 89 percent of colleges and universities reported zero incidents of rape.

But another way to think about the letter is as Exhibit A in the overreach of an administrative state pursuing a narrow ideological agenda through methods both lawless and aggressive.
 
I heard that 20% of Hillary voters polled said they only voted for her because of Trump was the only other perceived choice. Haven't been able to confirm that yet but I wont be surprised. Even if she won she would have been the least popular incoming president since possibly Lincoln.

She still has lower approvals than Trump.

But she's not relevant or important anymore, so we aren't allowed to talk about her, remember?
 
Oh you sweet summer child. Clinton is not going away. I guarantee you she will be VP for whoever wins the Democratic nomination. Most likely Biden. I could also see Bernie taking her on to appease the establishment democrats that would otherwise sabotage him.

Remember a year ago when after it was revealed HRC took a meeting with someone after donating to Clinton Foundation and oh, the cries of " corruption corruption" all the while this WAS reported but ignored.

I'd feel kinda stupid for falling for Russsian Propogandas.

Dont forget increasing arms sales to countries by 1000% after they donated to the Clinton foundation. I am sure that was just a coincidence.
 
The CGI is essentially dismantling itself after donations died up. Why did those donations stop coming in?

In Pakistan a class of students beat to death a Christian teen for drinking from the same cup as a Muslim. The teacher said he did not notice because he was reading a newspaper. The kids reportedly had been trying to forcefully convert him before all this. When are we going to stop killing each other over which magic sky fairy we believe in. Religion is not inherently toxic but it is when you mix it with stupid.

Bravo President Trump — maybe

President Donald Trump acted, well, presidential last week. That shouldn’t be big news in this space, but it is. And it is welcome news.

The president, for whatever reasons, acted in the best interests of all the people in this country. We are all sick and tired of listening to the same — what’s another word for B.S.? — interparty verbal sparring when it comes to the simple question of whether the United States of America would pay its debts.

In a week which could have gone down in the history books as one — perhaps the first — in which the president actually acted presidential, he chose to burden a group of young people who didn’t deserve the burden.

It was a most unpresidential thing to do. It makes me want to take back what I said at the beginning.
