The Trump Presidency

That's pretty far to the right there, fellow Hawk. That doesn't necessarily make him a bad choice but if you're further to the right than Scalia that does make you pretty far to the freakin' right.

Nearly as far to the right as Sotomayor is to the left. Nearly.

How do we get the people that created this mess to clean it up ?

The 15-20 of you here that voted and supported a Trump Presidency, what are you going to do about this ?

This is on you

To quote a great statesman and Nobel Peace Prize winner, "Elections have consequences."

Like it or not, his actions so far as President are fulfilling campaign promises.

Still trying to understand what messes have been created...

All I see is the opposition protestjng because they aren't getting their way while the rest of the country is supportive. Wasn't there a poll that just came out the majority of Americans support the travel ban? Just because a group is loud doesn't mean they speak for the country.

Didn't you get the memo? It's not a travel ban.

The EO travel ban with no forethought and piss poor execution (that lead in a way to a legal green card citizen dying FWIW), and some of the worst cabinet appointments seen. And more importantly, the majority of the country isn't supportive, 51% of Gallup poll participants disapprove of his work.

I think most would probably say that the roll out for the ban was pretty bad, but I still think that may have been on purpose. The left absolutely lost their minds over it. Three months from now the Trump admin is going to announce that they have the greatest vetting process of any country every. We're going to love the vetting process. And after that three months most folks in the country are going to look back at the hysteria and think to themselves, did they really lose their minds over that?

Just so I'm clear, the left wants to block the nominee bc the right blocked the nominee a while back, right?

2 questions:

1. Does the left have the numbers and ability to succeed like the right did, for at least 4 years?

2. Is there nothing to the old adage of "being the bigger man" (sorry - is that sexist? SORRY!)... If the dems block this one, the Rs will block the next one. If the dems are serious about "bringing us together, here's a good way to lead by example.

I'm not mentioning his overall work. Majority of Americans wanted a travel ban whether you believe it or not.

How are they bad appointments already when we haven't even gotten a sampling of their on job performance to evaluate? It's just partisianship at this point

I think this is an interesting point. The opposition is showing a lot of immaturity in the last few months and that will come back to hurt them in the future. When everything is a big deal is anything actually a big deal?

It's their way or protest.

Some are bad appointments.

Saying "let's give them a chance" before we judge is like me sitting on a plane being operated by a squirrel and saying "let's give him a chance before we object"

Again...I'm a patient guy. I'd like to see where this administration takes the country. We need something other than business as usual.

House set to rescind rule that requires oil companies to disclose payments to foreign governments. Link.

This is the only defense they have?

“The SEC’s rule forces U.S. companies to disclose proprietary information to its competitors while foreign entities do not. This can give some large industry players an advantage on future business projects,” the American Petroleum Institute, an industry group, said in a statement.

Yeah, and it's not even strictly true. A few don't, most of the big players do.

When you are unable to even conceive that your own philosophy and morals might be wrong you become dangerous because the feeling of righteousness is used to justify all kinds of atrocities. This is why the polarization in politics today is dangerous. Its already starting with the left trying to shut down opposing viewpoints for being offensive. Eventually they will justify imprisoning people for being pro-life or not wanting to share a bathroom with a tranny. Its slowly going from the fringe elements of the left(and right) to the mainstream.

Yall know my views are "extreme", but I dont go out killing cops no matter how much I think it is justified because I know there is a chance I might be wrong or crazy. Gotta keep things in perspective.

Where we're the violent protests when Obama was pushing his liberal agenda?

This nonsense is only found on the left.
