The Trump Presidency

I’d go after this far before I go after a Palestinian having an issue with Israel. Having an issue with Israel isn’t anti-Semitic.

Disagree considering Israel is the Jewish state and especially when your problem is that Israel is not willing to further cede their territory.

Wow, never pass up an opportunity to waste a meaningful thing with cynical maneuvering.

Couple things: first, Steve King has an appalling track record of this kind of thing. To say that it took “mere days” to get him kicked off his committee assignments is laughable.

Second, using “dual loyalties” here is at best misleading, at worst a cynical misrepresentation. “Dual loyalties” is rightfully considered a slur against American Jews. Tlaib said something along the lines of “confusing what country they work for” in reference to the Republican senators who wrote the bill, none of whom are Jewish. Fun fact: there are more Jewish Democratic Senators currently serving than Jewish Republican senators, in history. Also, fwiw, the bill in question is straight bonkers and certainly unconstitutional.

Here’s an article about a bunch of anti-Semites, then.

Im shocked that liberalism inpairs judegement on real world realities. Im very aware there isna strong liberal american jewish population that is critical of Israels policy with settlements on the west bank. Just like i think its exver likely that a black person is racist agaibst blacks the same is the case with jews agaibst jewd although situatiins arise where it is the case.

Like i said, another case where liberalism destroys reason.

To liken this to the deep rooted hatred between Muslims and Jews just shows that you try to oresent weak arguments in search of a gotcha. Par for the course with you lately. If you want to deny the obviius with this embarassment to our goverbment then by all means do so

You equated having an issue with Israel with being anti-Semitic. I responded by posting that article. It’s not a gotcha, it’s highlighting a differing opinion from a group of people that is probably more relevant than my own. You can move the goalposts all you want, but the validity of your statement (or lack thereof) is self-evident.

Sure - Your inability to include nuance to an argument only applies to this argument I suppose when its found in almost any other argument you engage in.

Whatever makes you feel better Julio.

I'll chime in with a little something here: my father-in-law, who is Jewish, sometimes criticizes other American Jews for caring more about Israel than the United States. He doesn't make this as a blanket statement. He will say it in reference to something specific. Is he anti-semitic?

Important factor to consider - Why was this hidden from the public during his administration? Kind of makes his policy towards Israel a little more clear.

I don’t think it was hidden. Does the liberal take on this board not give you the assumption that liberals don’t give a crap about this? They won’t change thier minds about Obama due to his picture with Farrakhan

There’s no nuance to saying that opposing Israel is anti-Semitic. If you meant to make clear a distinction, you should have done so.

BREAKING:

Senate Republicans have sided with Democrats over Trump as the

Senate votes 57-43 to move forward with Chuck Schumer’s resolution

to reverse Trump’s decision to lift sanctions on Russian companies.

The tide is starting to turn!

Take that you Big Orange Russian asset!

that really wasn't the point

but hey nuance and you and ya boi ---

The point is that those in power continue to want to push adversarial relationships with another country that has nuclear weapons based on a premise that is flat out untrue.

Is Putin a terrible person? Yes.
Should we completely stop having any positive diplomatic ties with him? Apparently the answer to this question is yes sadly.

then what is your beef ---

germane to this post is Trump losing (R) Senate supporters whereas a year ago --- not so much
you can go back to critiquing CNN . It seems to be your wheelhouse

I'm glad there is disagreement. That is fantastic for democracy. I don't want blind followers anywhere. WHat I don't like how there is a default position with so many people that Russia = bad therefore we can never have any relations with them.

We spoke with Stalin at times. This is crazy.
