Well, it's a sideline discussion, true, but I have a hard time distinguishing one orchestrated jingoistic display from another. You're conferring positive value upon them, so perhaps you should help me with the task.
 
I mean, yo, how is it tenuous? You've elevated the patriotic/jingoistic pregame ceremonies to something approaching sacrosanct status, right?

I'm just curious - what makes you think I'm talking about timeliness here?
 
I am excited about the prospects of saving money from no longer watching or supporting the anti-America football league. Already on the hook for Sunday Ticket this season, but this will be it for me. I know people don't care since I am not an oppressed grossly rich member of society. I am just a struggling forgotten American that the left won't let President Trump try and help.

Yes, of course. I don't think anybody realistically expects NFL stadiums to go empty (or for fans to reject their teams) because players are kneeling during the national anthem.

Yes, I think the ratings are declining. I think it's partly the brain damage and political thing, but I'm sure it's also the younger generations not having cable, more and more people flocking to soccer, etc.

I'm sure that's part of it, but FWIW, MLB hasn't experienced a ratings decline (the opposite actually).

Same league who wouldn't allow a player to wear commerative cleats honoring those lost during 9/11. Or a tiny symbol on the Cowboys helmets for the slain police officers. Instead they let players wear shirts that have Castro on them and promote players who hate this country.

The fact that he has started such a kerfuffle says that he picked a good venue for his protest, however, the conversation is now over flag gazing and not rampant police brutality against people of color.

The comparison was solely intended to differentiate between the way our society glories the flag versus how we glorify the Presidency.

But what's Aleppo. The corrupt pieces of **** got 97% of the vote. So the problem isn't that we aren't getting what we want, it's that we overwhelmingly support criminals being president.

Can someone explain to me why kneeling for the flag is disrespectful and the players ought to be required to stand for it or be fired/out of the country (according to Richard Petty)?
Yet, waving a nazi flag, the flag of people who not only murdered a large chunk of a race of people but also killed a lot of people fighting for our flag, is free speech (nothing more, nothing less) and it's someone else's fault when **** goes south?
