The Trump Presidency

I suspect Trump and company had to know this was coming. Manafort resigning as campaign manager so quickly was always a red flag.

Papadopoulos Said Contact With Overseas Professor Connected to Russian Officials Was Before He Joined Campaign

Papadopoulos Actually Met With Professor After Joining Campaign, Seeking “Dirt” On Hillary Clinton - Court Documents

Papadopoulos was arrested in July, has been cooperating with investigation.

From the Department of Fun Coincidences (maybe): Papadopoulos interview referenced in the documents was the same day that Trump invited Comey to dinner and asked for his loyalty.

reading the Papadopoulos stuff makes it look like collusion

It appears to be further indication of attempts to use proffered Clinton dirt to penetrate the campaign: Papadopoulos, DJTJ, Smith (allegedly in cooperation with Flynn). It seems silly to deny that at this point.

Then, there's Manafort pitching in the opposite direction.

There are still dots to connect and there may be no connection to be made, but now that there are actual criminal charges, it seems to cast things in a different light.

It was reported months ago that after Manafort left the campaign (for which, remember, he worked unpaid) he received loans from a small bank owned by a prominent Trump backer. Small enough that the loans to Manafort comprised an unusually large percentage of its lending capacity. Some people speculated that it was below-board compensation for his work on the campaign, but I think it might be reasonable to ask if it were hush money.

I'm still interested about how and why the GOP platform suddenly became so pro-Russia during the GOP convention.

There seems to be such a direct line between Trump and pro-Russian Ukrainians (through Manafort, Gates, and Michael Cohen) that it's certainly a valid question, but it still might end up being, well, a secondary concern.

Still looks like motive, or at least tit for tat.

Maddow was reporting on Manafort Ukraine-Russian connections as he was hired. July or August 2016
There were shoe leather journalistic questions pooh poohed about the coincidental ascension of Manafort and the (R) platform as it was happening.

This information has been out for well over a year.
These are not new dots.

When do we have an honest discussion on Fox News and their place in this ?
At what point do people quit even listening to the Tucker Carlsons and the Sean Hannity's and wake up to the bill of goods they have been sold.
And after they take the masks away come to realize the harm these people have perpetrated on the American public.
Puerto Rico -Las Vegas for example

Or like Climate change and guns. We can't politicize this event --- meaning any conversation gets stifled and shoved to the side

At 33% approval, Trump has now sunk down to a low that only *three* other presidents ever hit in the last 60 years: Nixon, Bush & Bush.
