When the Depression hit, Congress was much more united in passing legislation to stimulate infrastructure etc. Obama had an entire party blocking everything and any chance of bipartisanship during the height of the recession.
And he still managed to make tremendous strides in the exact metric you were referring to?
If he didn't follow his misguided Marxist views Obama would have bebefore from a great economy that did more than 2% GDP in most periods. But all he did was line the pockets of the wealthy with regulation and pushed down the middle class. His jibs were noted for being stuffed with part time roles with limited wage growth.
With unprecedented resistance from government/media/silicon Valley trump has instituted policies that have encouraged tremendous optimism to the heights not seen for decades. Workers are getting bonus and now more money in their paychecks. When we start seeing high 3s and low 4's GDP it will be clear how terrible of a president Obama was and that's just on the economy. You bring in foreign policy and it's embarrassing hussein was ever the president of our great nation.
He just got it back to a norm just 8 years before. But that doesn't include the record low labor participation rate for blacks which were at 30 year lows. He was a disastrous president. Not only has trump helped lower black unemployment to record lows but he also got more blacks in thebworkforce. It's not a debate. The numbers are all there.

First, Obama had filibuster proof control in Congress. It doesn't get much more united than that.
Second, we all remember the "stimulus" bill right? That was a real opportunity for infrastructure investment and an economic boost. It became a mixtape of special interest progressive pork instead.
