The Trump Presidency

democrats shouldn't come to help out these republicans

they were put in charge and hold every branch

let the republicans be the first to hold all branches of gov't and somehow shut down the gov't

Can the Republicans even keep the government from shutting down if all R's vote?

"All" good people? I wouldn't know, but show me any legitimate statistic where they're raping people and pillaging the land.

As far as I know, you're free to ignore anything anyone has to say.

As for peddling falsehoods, K. If that's the sword you want to die on...

You really want to compare who tells more fake news? Seriously? I will absolutely die on that sword because the answer is obvious.

Care to talk about the new number of 3.6M? Should we just give them all legal status?

But I was told there was only 700K and “millions” was an inaccurate lie.

Hmm. This is what I said:

A conditional legal path to citizenship for some DACA recipients--of which there are about 700,000--is neither "amnesty" nor "for millions." So, yeah, that's a crap talking point.

It's reported--though we don't really know--that the Dem proposal included all of the Dream Act folks instead of just DACA. If that's true, I'm mistaken.

On the other hand, a three-year extension of temporary, conditional legal status is hardly "amnesty."

I've gotta say, hoss, you've never really offered any substantive reason why we shouldn't. Just misleading crime statistics that aren't applicable to that population and vague stuff about net contributions to society that you've never bothered to expound on.

How about the fact that they are bypassing our immigration system. Sure, lets just grant amnesty for people that cut the line. Stop hunting votes.

the dems will vote

they are under no obligation to just vote for whatever the republicans say should be to keep it open

if it shuts down, it is 100% a republican fault and failure of governing

I don't see how the proposed legislation would have included only DACA enrollees. I mean, that would be the truest "clean bill" in the history of ever, but it almost defeats the purpose (which I guess wouldn't be so shocking either).

So the Dems don't want to compromise and its the R's fault.

The R's don't want to compromise and its the R's fault.

Good scheme.

People who were brought here as kids and have attended school, worked, and stayed out of trouble. Big ol' criminals who need to be deported. I wonder if deporting them en masse would cost the government way more than they contribute to the economy?

I show my support for the military by not supporting any of the wars are are currently engaged in

I can get behind that, but Paul Ryan and company disagree. That's one of their two latest gems against the Dems: holding the military and military spouses hostage for not voting for the package and "choosing DACA recipients and/or Dreamers over CHIP families."
