The Trump Presidency

Right, so the relevant question in the poll is about priority. Right now the allocation system is biased towards families. According to this poll, a sizeable majority favors prioritizing skills and education. That's not the same thing as a zero-sum "do you support ending family-based migration." And it's worth noting that even that number is quite fluid depending on how the question is asked.

But this still rejects your notion that people want chain migration because chain migration is within the legal migration codification.

Immigration is going to change. Its changing around the world. This is not an isolated 'racist american right wing' movement.

it's called family reunification.

there is no such term of chain migration in the immigration code

If it weren’t for the Hastert Rule we would have a bipartisan budget agreement,

disaster relief, and Dream. If it weren’t for the Hastert Rule our legislative branch could function.

Also, I don’t know why they haven’t renamed it but it’s probs too late.

why hasn't it been renamed.

Just think the means by which (R) handles legislation is named after a man released from prison this past July for molesting boys.
I would rethink my party affiliation over that, but hey,Roy Moore -Donald Trump . Sleep with dogs you get fleas

http://theweek.com/articles/752138/why-trumps-first-state-union-speech-resonate-voters?

Most State of the Union speeches come and go. Very little gets remembered for long, as other priorities overtake the White House and Congress. The visuals in Trump's speech, however, may be more enduring, especially when it comes to immigration. Democrats may want to think about taking a significant concession on the path to citizenship for DACA recipients and getting that issue off the table as soon as possible.

To some extent, at significant events like this, Trump succeeds by not failing. His well-earned reputation as a rhetorical loose cannon sets expectations lower than usual, but that belies his preparation for major traditional speeches. It happened in Davos last week and again last night. Congress may not want to admit it, but Trump outplayed them, just as he managed to do with the shutdown a little over a week earlier.

Congress voted 517-5 to impose sanctions on Russia.

Yesterday, President Trump decided he wasn't going to implement them.

Why is the President serving the interests of Vladimir Putin instead of the American people?

57, research is your friend. Employ it.

Good grief.

Your counter-punch today has been remarkably inane.

57, do you believe it would be accurate for someone to claim that you approve of sexual misconduct in the workplace because you are "the party" of Bill Clinton? Or that you support leaving a girl you are having an affair with to drown in a car because you are "the party" of Ted Kennedy? Or that you approve of stealing from charities to fund a shopping spree because you are "the party" of Corinne Brown?

If not, do you think you could leave the elementary school level of associative insults out of the conversation?

57's contribution today is that Republicans are morally bankrupt because they won't change the name of an informal rule.
